After finishing 'This Is War, Baby', I couldn't wait to jump right into this one. I absolutely loved the first book and after that cliffhanger ending, there was no way I could've stayed away from this follow-up. Unfortunately, this time around, the story didn't have quite the same draw for me.

I was super excited to jump into this sequel and find out what the heck is going on outside of the love bubble that War and Baylee have created for themselves that was brutally shot to smithereens by Gabe in the prior book. I'd read This is War, Baby completely off a friend's recommendation and devoured it. After the mother of a cliffhanger, I was pleasantly surprised, and pleased, that K Webster wasn't going to string us along forever waiting for this dramatic conclusion. Luckily, I only had to wait a couple weeks- and this second book did not disappoint!

Jesus. I can’t remember a book that left me this speechless. After the way This is War, Baby ended, all I knew was that I needed this book. I can’t even tell you a single thing about this book – it has to be experienced. But I will tell you that I loved it. I loved how dark it got, how twisted it all was – but make no mistake this was a love story. The light in this book blinded the moments of pure darkness. It was consuming and once I started I could not stop.

If this Love...then the War to get there was hard fought and so tiresome! Left in complete shock and limbo with Baylee and War coming face to face with Gabe...I had no idea what was to come. This book drove me insane! I was so happy to continue on with Baylee and War's story, to find out what was going on and how it was all going to end. I needed answers to all of the questions the first book left me with. I loved parts of it, but thought other's parts were a bit over the top. Overall though, I was once again pulled into this book not able to stop reading until I reached the end.
