This author has yet to disappoint me in anything that she has ever written and this story is no different. Ms. Doughty has a way with words that will reel you in and make you a part of the story, plus she has this magic touch of adding life lessons to the stories.

I love this Fallout series and I LOVED this book. I think this one may be my favorite of the series. Maybe. Ugh, I don't know. They have all been really good. Becky Doughty is so fabulous. She really knows how to write a story that engages you from the very beginning and holds on to you until the very last sentence. There is so much emotion and struggle in her books. I have to constantly tell myself to slow down and enjoy the ride because I get so caught up in the story and end up reading faster

A Long Way Home is listed as the Fallout series book 3 but this can totally be read as a stand alone novel with no reading of the previous books required. I do feel the need to mention that this book could be a trigger for those with a history of abuse. Clean Teen Publishing has a great disclosure system and this is mentioned but just in case anyone goes in blind just reading the review I wanted to mention it.
