Hemingway fell for the drummer of her brothers' band. Growing up they were the ones who loved her and looked out for her, even incorporating her into their band's name, Hemingway's Hope.

After a childhood deprived of not just material things, but also the kind of love and nurturing that money can't buy, she finally thought things were looking up until she was betrayed in one of the worst ways imaginable by not one, but two people important to her.

Forging forward, she's made a life for herself and

Hemingway’s Hope by J.C Thompson is a hot, quick read that is easy to love! This standalone book tells the story of Hemingway and Max, and how love can heal. Hemingway (Hem) is the younger sister to two older brothers who raised their sister since Mom didn’t care and Dad was just another one of Mom’s boyfriends. Hem is a bright, sweet young lady who is forever hiding from a past that she can’t ignore. Hem lives her life determined not to let her past guide her future. She meets Max, and she know ...more

I have to say that overall I found Hemingway's Hope by J.C. Thompson to be a good read that had a lot of potential. It had characters I liked, a story that was definitely interesting, and I was definitely hooked into what I was reading. I thought J.C. Thompson's writing was easy to sink into, and she definitely wrote a story that had a lot to it.

This story follows Hemingway, a young girl who has lived through quite a bit of pain. She had a childhood that scarred her and

I am so happy I got a chance to read Hemingway's Hope. This is a quick story focusing on Hemingway, her life, family, and her brothers band.

I read this and saw how she was treated by her mother and it makes me sick that someone would treat their child like this. The sad part is it happens in real life to some people. Then they either continue the cycle, stop it, or go on with their lives and make it better. Hemingway's brothers were there for her as a child and now they are all still close to e

This was an enjoyable read. This is a book about hope and overcoming your past so you can have a better future. It's about a girl that is dealt a crap hand for a mom. She has 2 amazing brothers that help take care of her and love her so much. She falls in love with the wrong man and ends up losing a lot in a split second. A few years later she gives taking a chance with a guy another shot. I'd say it was the best thing she did. Max is the new drummer for her brothers band. Hemingway's Hope. He k ...more

When I saw the cover and blurb for Hemingway’s Hope by J.C. Thompson, I knew that I had to clear some room in my schedule to be able to read it. Something about the brokenness described of the heroine really called to me. Plus, that cover is just stunning which normally translates to me getting all grabby-hands for it! Hemingway’s Hope was a pretty good read, and I’m curious to see what else this debut author has in store for readers.

This was a cute, short, fun read that really got to the point concerning characters, and the mail plot of the novel. A sweet read that includes main characters Hemingway, and Maxton. There were many supporting characters that really put the story into perspective from one person's point of view, and added to the overall feel of the story line. I am going to give this novel Four Bars. About three quarters of the way through this novel, it switched between two points of view, and I wasn't a fan of ...more

So I have so many feelings about this book and review. I read the prologue several months ago and was super excited. Then I find out that she has finished this book and I got even more excited. So I told her I couldn't wait to read and she was so nice to give me a ARC of this book. I'm really having a hard time writing this review because of all the mix emotions I have. I liked the book very much and I'm super excited for this author and know that any other books she write will just get better a ...more

Hemi & Max's love is a bit of a whirlwind. They meet & instantly *poof* they connect. I very much enjoyed their relationship, and I loved all the supporting characters. I had a little trouble with the flow of the story, however. There are some things, plot-wise, that I don't understand (she's in her 20's & still living w/ her abusive mother, altho her brothers who spent their childhood protecting her have their own apartment - WHY is she still living w/ this abusive woman? I don't fe ...more

Hemingway has spent her life trying to earn her mom's love. When it became apparent that would never happen, she went looking for it elsewhere, and thought she had found it, but instead got her heart broken again. The day she meets Max, the new drummer in her brothers band, she feels an overpowering connection to him. Max is not stranger to pain, but he's learned that when you find the one to love, you give it everything. And he's decided he wants Hemingway, but can she get over her past in orde ...more

Seriously hot guy shows up with your brothers...causing you to check if you are drooling...
Is this a dream?

Hemingway's life is complicated. She lives with her mother- not because she wants too. She is surviving there.

Hemingway is a survivor. She has spunk and fire and that drives Max nuts. This beautiful woman makes him crazy. He wants her and knows she wants him.

What to do? A no dating policy, an ex, and a mother no one can love seem to make everything complicated.

Will Hemingway un-complicate

Reviewer with Blogging with Mr Brennan

Hemingway has had it rough, mom is an alcoholic who years ago slept with her boyfriend, her brothers are in a band and try to do everything they can to protect her.
Max is the new drummer who has an instant connection with Hemi. He shows her what it's like to be loved and he does what her cn to show her everyday. After a few bumps he does.

This was a good first novel by this new author. It's very short and she tries to get a lot in and sometimes the characte

I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review.
3.5* read.
For me this was an enjoyable read filled with potential but i found it to be a bit all over in places and felt like i was working out puzzle but missing a few pieces and it was also rushed in places. Saying that i still enjoyed and finished this story and it was a quick and fun read. The chemistry was good between Hemingway and Max and i enjoyed their journey i just wish there was more depth to it. I will read future books from this auth

I was given this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Hemi has an extremely troubled pass and the knocks keep on coming during her life. She has one great friend and her brothers that see her through everything. She meets Max, the new drummer in the band and its fireworks from there on in. You follow the build up of their relationship and the trust that Hemi has to have in Max. Can she take that leap of faith? Short story but good. Easy flowing and content stay true to the

Great read

A friend of mine told me about her friend that had written a book. She knew how much I loved these types of girly porn books that she told me to read it when I had the chance. The moment I started reading, I couldn't stop. Although the editing could of been way better, I really enjoyed the plot, characters and all the emotions I felt while reading this book. Cannot wait to read more by this author

This was a sweet story about Hemmingway, who has had a troubled past. She suffered at the hands of a cruel mother and only had her two older brothers to lean on. She goes on to find the love of her life. Worth a read.

We all need a Max in our lives

Every author must write a type of romance that you might find in real life.
Every page with declaration of love in this book, was sweet, powerful and so amazing.
Hemingway broke my heart with her story. Max pit it back together with his love. This book made me feel so many emotions, I wanted to live on Max'a arms.
