Grit and Growl #2

Bear Patches

Rate this book
April Morgan had spent her whole life defying expectations. She wasn't happy unless her hands were covered in grease and her hair smelled of gasoline. Cars didn't whine at you. Cars didn't make you feel guilty. Cars didn't betray you. But here in this one horse town, the only car shop was run by a motorcycle club, and she sure as shit knew they wouldn't take her seriously. Barriers were just things to blow past, so it was time to defy expectations one more time. Everything was going smoothly, until she saw him.

Brett Ferguson didn't take anyone's shit. At over six feet tall, he usually didn't need to. If his full sleeve tattoos and MC Club patch didn't keep the foolish at bay, a guttural Bear Shifter growl got the point across. He just wanted to earn an honest living working on cars and enjoying his bachelor lifestyle. No hangups, no strings. Then this feisty whirlwind walked into his shop, and everything changed.

This 10,000+ word Novella contains explicit sex scenes, a badass Bear Shifter Biker Gang, a Happily Ever After and no cliffhanger. Also included are some free bonus stories as my thanks to you.

Bear patches is a wonderful book from start to finish, but just wasn't long enough it is really good read. I couldn't put it down. Becca Fanning is a brilliant author and I absolutely love her books and I highly recommend her books even though some aren't long but they are brilliant reads.

While this was a cute story, it read more like the bare bones of one. I think because it is so short, there was only so much the author could include. It would have been a five star book if it was fleshed out a bit more. The characters are likeable and the plot was cute. Oh, and though this is labeled as a shifter and MC read, its really not. Neither the shifter or the MC make much of an appearance, again because it is so short. Also the dialogue wasn't really formal but also not organic; it read a bit stiff. Enjoyable.

April loved working on cars but being a woman in a male dominated field was always difficult. But here in this one horse town, the only car shop was run by a motorcycle club, and she knew they wouldn't take her seriously. Barriers were just things to blow past, so it was time to defy expectations one more time. Everything was going smoothly, until she saw him. Brett ran the garage and thought he was hiring AJ until April walked in to the shop. This bear shifter just wanted to earn an honest living working on cars and enjoying his bachelor lifestyle. No hangups, no strings. Then this feisty whirlwind walked into his shop, and everything changed.

Brett does not wan tot get involved with April because she works for him and knows it will make her acceptance in the shop be more difficult. April wants a fair turn, both in the shop and with Brett. A quick read and sweet. Great ending.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I am rating this book 2 stars because....it felt rushed. It was extremely short. I read it as an ARC (advanced readers copy). It pulled me in with a great story line of a chick that worked on cars. I was pretty excited to read it, but it fell flat. Everything happens so freaking fast, actually that's not true.....I was reading along and trying to get to know the characters and the next thing you know he is acting possessive when they barely even worked together. One moment they are about to start dating and the next thing you know hes proposing and shes saying yes. It was weird and left me feeling like one of those cartoon characters that are dazed and confused saying...."which way did he go??? Which way did he go??" This is the 3rd Shifter book I have read and I haven't liked any of them. Maybe its just me...but I doubt it.

April Morgan had been repairing and restoring cars for what felt like forever. Hoever as a woman she was never going to be taken seriously so she applied for a job as AJ not April and got her brother to take in the application form for her. It was all going so well until her first day when she was in the workshop and saw Brett.

Brett Ferguson was a bear shifter, a MC club member and had tattoos. He was happy living on his own and earning his living working on cars. Then everything went haywire when April started working in the garage.

I lovely story where they try to fight their attraction, but in the end the attraction wins. Good short feel good read.

What an awesome book, I loved it, I recalled liked the characters who were instantly drawn to each other and I loved Aprils job of vehicle mechanic, even though she did have to pretend to be her brother to initially get the job, lol!! The book was fast paced and I read it in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down, another fabulous shifter book from Becca!
I would definitely recommend it, it was amazing, can't wait for the next one.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. April and Brett are perfect for each other. Brett and his bear both love April, or AJ, however as he is her boss the romance seems to be over before it begins. Read this book to find out what happens next. Becca Fanning creates the best bear shifter stories. I highly recommend this book and her other books as well.

I was given this ARC book in exchange for an honest review. I really liked the book. The storyline was great I really like the attitude of April. It was a quick read. However, it was a little too quick. It needed a little more to it. I will be reading more of Ms. Fannings books.

April says she's the best mechanic in the State. She wants a job with Bear Mechanics and has to prove to her boss Brett that she is. That's not the only thing she proves to him though!
This was an ARC for a fair and honest review.

She's Better Than Most

He has her changing oil. Well she is going to be the best oil changer he's ever seen. Why won't he use her automotive talents in restoration? This is a quick fun read. Enjoy I did.

This is a great quick read. The story is fast paced and really fun to read. The author had my attention from the first word. I couldn’t put the book down. If you want something to read while on your lunch break this is the story and series.

I have receive this book from the author, and I would say like the story between AJ and Brett. Its short and easy to read, and who wouldn't like a story between a boss (bear-shifter) and employee

Kindle Unlimited, bio says enjoys writing 'smut', this was not smut, it was trash; no real plot, no character development, cardboard characters, fill in the blank {bad} stories, 70's porn music in the background fighting with wannabe 50 shades of grey and twilight nonsense. 'Romance' is not graphic sexual situations, and especially not those that are as graphically detailed out, for lack of anything actual worthwhile to put in to the 'story'. For actual writers usually list other books; for this type just name 'writer' Becca Fanning not bloody likely, will take the time to rate all the trash out though.

if old macdonald had a landfill there would be crap overflowing from just this 'writer' 'books'
