Mia and Romeo was both born into poverty. Romeo's case being worse than Mia because he finds himself homeless after the death of his grandmother. Mia's mother has a nasty gambling problem that is so severe that Mia has to go without food and everything else a young girl her age needs to survive. With no other option, she is forced to steal in order to keep clothes on her back and food in her stomach. When an unfortunate event brings these two together, they realize that they need each other in more ways than one. A friendship that was only based on business has now flourished and turned personal. Together they turn into a force to be reckoned with beating down traps in order to survive. Murder is the man in the streets. He’s handsome, charming and has more money than he can spend. Murder finds himself in a dying relationship with Trixie who doesn’t care what he does as long as she can remain his main chick. When he run into Mia, he immediately falls for her not knowing the real reason behind their encounter.
Lucinda John always delivers that heat. Romeo is bae and I loved him from the beginning. He was dealt a terrible hand but used what he knew in order to survive. Everybody always turned their noses up at him, but not Mia. Mia treated him like somebody from the start. She gave him a place to lay his head and made sure he ate. I loved their relationship and I really thought it would last forever. Then comes Murder, I knew that Mia getting close to him was a mistake. The more she spent time with him the deeper her feelings became for him. Romeo && Shanie tried to warn her and she should have listened to them both. Shanie was a great friend and I hope her and Rodney work they stuff out and raise their baby together. I don't blame him for saying if she kills his baby this time he done with her. Romeo messed up dealing with Lucy and after she lied to the cops his life went down hill from there. I can't wait to see if Mia really is pregnant by Romeo or Murder, bring on part 2.....
I really loved this book. I kinda hate Rome and Mia and loved them at the same time. They both had it rough and had to get it how they lived but they were setting ppl up and robbing them. I like Murder and I’m scared of what’s going to happen when he finds out. Three babies were created in this book and I’m excited to find out who fathered at least two of them and if Shanie is going to keep hers. VERY exciting read 💯⭐️
On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being absolute trash and 10 being good as good can be:
Total Book Experience 10/10 Plot/Storyline 10/10 Writing (Errors) 10/10 Characters 10/10
I love the bond Mia and Romeo had, but she crossed the line. Like everything he did happened before their relationship. Murder got awhole baby momma out here and Mia don't even know. I love rereading old books
A simple love story of two people who are hungry for life and each other go on a chaotic, destructive ride trying to take a drug king pin down. Romeo is love with a young Mia who convinces him that she can help him take Murder down. While she really is his ride and die chic, Romeo's past catches up to him leaving Mia vulnerable and wide open for Murder. Mia's life becomes more complicated when her poor choices may result in the loss of one man while gaining the other. The latter man loves her but he has his secrets, too. If you really want a front seat to how young and reckless love takes a hit hard to recover from, read this Lucinda John joint. Straight banger, baby!
Let me start by saying I love Romeo. He was a go getting til the end. I was disappointed that he wasn't honest with Mia about Lucy. But he had good intentions. Now Mia I loved @ 1st til she got selfish. She was never satisfied. I just hope she doesn't lose a Romeo over a cheater (Murder). I love Shanie. She was the definition of a rider and true friend. I hope she and Hod Rod make it.
mia has 2 men in her. Life, Romeo who is her first love and murder, Romeo was homeless when he met mia and she was broke and struggling to survive, they helped each other out and fell in love, then there is murder a big shot drug dealer, the plan was for m I a to get close to murder so Romeo can rob him, but it does not work out as planned, now Kia is pregnant, who is the father, hope part 2 comes out soon
It took me about a week to read...it couldnt keep my attention. I liked the the story, but it didnt get interesting to me until the last few chapters..moving on to book 2 because I want to find out what happens. I wonder who's baby it is. I really believe Mia is going to have murder's baby and Romeo is going to tear the city up. Smh. Hopefully book two gets five stars.
Mia and Romeo got that different kind of love they weren't hustling just to hustle they were hustling with a purpose...I loved their bond I just hope Mia doesn't let this flashy life change her....If you looking for a great page turner type of book read love in the trap because Lucinda John delivers yet again
Whyyyyy whyyyyyy , Mia what's wrong with you ???? Now you have your self in some HOT SHIT , and Romeo knew better his ass was going to get caught up sooner or later, Is it bad to say that I REALLY LIKE MURDER⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ Mia have a big Problem to solve . Good Job Lucinda , plzz don't make us wait long for part2
This story was really good. Unfortunately, I didn't give it 5 stars because the spelling and grammar was terrible! Like really bad. I've never read a Lucinda John book that had so many errors like this so I was surprised. Anyway, I can't wait for part 2; hopefully it'll be written better than this one.
Mia is truly playing a dangerous game! I hope the baby she is carrying is Romeo's, Murder has falling in love I can just imagine when he find out Mia is pregnant...I hope Hot Rod And his girl can come to a understanding but if she isn't ready for kids she should've had some protection...I'm so ready for part 2
I truly loved this story and need more ASAP. Lucinda always delivers a hot read and this one right here is a banger. Wow is all I can say. I don't which couple to fall in love with Murder and Mia or Romeo and Mia . Then there is Shanie and Rod relationship that is promising but now has complications. Ok Lucinda I need part two like yesterday great job.
Great job! Some stories are so hard to follow, but Ms. Lucinda did a wonderful job laying this one out. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can not wait for part two. With relatable characters and real life situations it is such an anticipated page Turner. There were a few grammar/spell check issues but...
I knew she would be with child and now she won't know who the daddy's.I want her and Romeo together Murder is got Trixie on the side and because he got money don't mean anything if she loves Romeo. Can't wait on next book.
I haven't read a good book in a long time!!! Lucinda always have them good books I can read in a couple hours! Lol as far as the story I love both couples and I'm not really feeling murda he's soooo sneaky I can't wait for part 2!!!
I gotta know who's the father of Mia's baby. This book was so good. I hope Mia and Ro can find a way to be together after all this heartbreak and BS. Please don't make me wait too long for part 2.
Damn damn damn!!! Mia got herself in all type of problems lol I know people will probably think I'm crazy but I'm team Murder all day!!! I never got attached to Romeo. I don't dig his come up. This book was good as always, I need pt2 ASAP
I'm enjoying this story. Once again she gave me characters to cheer for, characters that got on my nerves...all while switching things up.... can't wait to see what's next
That's why you are never supposed to make decisions while you are mad, add, depressed or just don't have all the facts. Dang, dang dang now she is in a messed up situation.
All I can say is wow! Mia is playing a dangerous game. When Murder finds out what's going on its going to be bad. I was pissed with Romeo for causing her so much pain, but I do know that he loves her...Can't wait for part 2
This book was good from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed this book. I need part 2 asap. I need to know what's going to happen next and who's baby is it.
Straight fire . I haven't read a novel so different in a while . The characters are well developed and the plot continues to thicken . Ready for part 2 a sap
