I liked the other stories in this series and honestly was most excited for Nick's story.
I really liked Becca. She's so sweet and so good. And while she smarts off to Nick, when it comes to him, every decision she makes sort of revolves around him. As for Nick, he's swimming in grief and doesn't even realize it. He and Becca are just so right and perfect together that of course he has to continuously push her away and act like an ass.

A while back readers will remember that I read and reviewed Wild Hearts which was Book #2 in the Hamilton Stables series and we met the Hamilton Brothers - Tripp, Alex and Nick. In this book, the boys had come back home due to their father being ill and on his death bed. Book #3 is set five years after that and is the youngest brother Nick's story. It has been five years since their farther Carter Hamilton passed away and Nick took over his father's business side of things while Alex and Tripp w

Silent Hearts was a heartwarming friends to lovers read, I really enjoyed it.
From the first page I knew this was going to be a good read.
I loved watching the highly strung up Nick slowly come undone and open up his heart to Becca and the possibility of something more.
Becca and Nick have a deep and trusting friendship, it was heartwarming watching them take that step from friends to lovers. I understood their fears and worries but knew these two had a strong foundation to get past these ...more

This would have easily received a 4 star stars if it was not for that ending. I mean I love the whole grand gesture things normally but I literally felt like he just bought her love. After everything he put her through? I'm not saying he should have begged and grovelled more, who am I kidding? He totally should have begged and grovelled more. Instead after 2 weeks of not even contacting her he just buys her house and tells ...more

Silent Hearts is the third book in the Hamilton Stables series by Melissa West and it is one of my favorite kinds of stories – friends to lovers. While part of a series, it isn’t completely necessary to read books one and two but I highly recommend you do. Not just because you will then know the characters mentioned, but also because the Hamilton brothers are great characters.

One of my favorite tropes, hands down, is the “Friends to Lovers” trope. Probably because my husband and I were the best of friends before we fell in love (I highly recommend this, nothing better than falling in love with your best friend). Silent Hearts, by Melissa West, fits the bill for this particular trope, is an easy read, and well-written, but I was hard-pressed to get behind one of the main characters or the romance.

Silent Hearts was my first introduction to the Hamilton brothers, and they certainly appear to be a lively lot. All hail the Hamilton brothers! It's worth it to note that I had no trouble following along with the story even though I missed out on the first two books. My first of Melissa West's Books, Silent Hearts is the story of Nick and Becca. It is the third book in the Hamilton Stables, a standalone.
I've always loved the friends - lovers concept and even understand the hesitation in embracing love when their best friend is involved ... I know right? But it is one of my favorite concepts a reason I picked this book.

This is a short romance coming in at 174 pages. It is very light on the sex and high on the story feature. Becca and Nick are best friends who both want to take it to another level. The dialogue flows and the characters are relatable. It is easy to fall in love with Becca as she fights her insecurities but actually does something about them by deciding to go back to school to become a nurse. I loved the Kentucky stating being a native myself. The romance formula of misunderstandings works reall

Best friends Nick and Becca both want more from each other but seem unable to admit to their feelings. The build up is palpable and the chemistry strong.
A very readable romantic novel. A quick and easy, feel good book.

“I don’t want to screw us up, but I don’t want anyone else. Only you, Bec. It’s always been you.”

Melissa West has once again blown me away. She has left me speechless, with a smile on my face and a heart filled with love. Silent Hearts was just the read I needed and more. Ever since I finished Wild Hearts, I have been dying to get my hands ...more

Best friends are awesome and Nick Hamilton had found his at the age of eight. Yet, he lost his heart at the age of ten. That girl was Becca Stark. Now their thirty-three and he feels more unsettled than ever.
You see Nick comes from what most would call the royal Hamilton family. There is Trip the eldest son who handles the Stables, Nick handles Industries, and Alex the Breeding. Yet, when their father passed Nick became robotic. In a very short time he had lost three very important and close p ...more

I'm a huge fan of Melissa West's, and was extremely excited to be approved for this novel. I've read the previous two books in the series and really enjoyed the Hamilton brother's journeys. Nick was always the disconnected one, always apart from his other brothers and was very quiet. I never knew what he was up to. And I didn't really get too much into Nick's head now that I've read his book. He's always paranoid that thi ...more

I love friends to lovers stories! This is a nice one
I liked the heroine, Becca. She was always a very loyal friend. She has a bit of an inferiority complex that doesn't quite jive for me. She was accepted to and attended Duke, until she withdrew to care for her sick grandmother. Considering the presumed intellect and her desire to be a nurse, the waitressing thing didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I figured she could've gotten a job working in a doctors office or something, at ...more

I was looking forward to Nick's story. This guy carries way too much on his shoulders, and he's made himself emotionally secluded from everyone. Becca is his best friend. She's the only person who's managed to put cracks in some of his walls. They hurt each other and are risking their life long friendship. Silent Hearts kept me tense while I read it. Every time either Nick or Becca's feelings got hurt, I felt it too. This was a wonderfully, emotional friends t ...more
I thought this one was an awesome read! It's a great friends to lovers story between Nick and Becca. Nick is still reeling from the loss of his father. While his brothers seem to have hit their stride and are achieving great things in areas of the family ranch business, Nick's struggling and can't seem to get his footing. While his brothers are ready to sell the business Nick is in charge of, he's not ready to give up yet fearing he will be letting his father down. With the love of his family an

This story centers around the Hamilton family, especially the brothers. Nick is the brother left to manage the family business after his father's death when his other brothers leave to live their own lives. Becca has always been Nick's best friend and has always been there for him, through thick and thin. When Nick wonders if they could be more if he takes a chance, he worries if their friendship will survive. Super story and super characters. I have not read the first two books in this series,

Silent Hearts tells the story of evolving relationships. How people change due to circumstance, maturity and environment. Although understated, Nick and Becca are the spark that drives this story and his family is the match that sets it on fire. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Family, love, friendship and business collide in this story of growth and heart.
