Well, this is totally my thing. If there's one thing I love in M/M books it's when one is innocent and one is experienced.....very experienced..

Raja is the newly appointed President of the Coffin Nails MC chapter in Toledo. He's a total Manwhore and is unapologetic about it,always up for a challenge. So when a club member puts a bet his way,he can'

This was a good one, after a lot of misses for me. I liked the shy David, and I quite liked the cocky Raja, and he was Indian! Though only by ethnicity, not by nature. ;)

The plot was interesting enough, if not so driving to make me sit on the edge of my seat, like the first two books did, but good nonetheless.

"I bet you a bike wash you can't get a blowjob out of him. He's got virgin-forever painted all over his face."

And that's how the sweetest installment in the Sex & Mayhem series starts. With a bet. Don't let the title fool you. Heart Ripper is sweet and romantic, but it maintains the authors' gritty style. There is fluff, but there's also raw passion and tension.

We only took a glimpse of David in Split but I knew! I knew that the preppy, clean cut young man was going to have a story and i

This is my third Sex & Mayhem book and my favorite.

David is such a dirty boy. I loved his innocence and the way he was virgin putty in Raja's capable hands.

And Raja. That bastard is all tats and beard and muscle. He oozes raw masculinity and confidence. Raja takes David apart. And David wants to be taken.

Raja's a serious fuckwatt at the end, and I wanted to kill him. Then lick him. Because the fucker is infuriating but so very HOT.

Heart Ripper is not really romantic in the traditional sen
Reread - August 2017 - possibly a little slower for me this time around but I still enjoyed it a lot. The dirty talk is delicious!

4.5 absolute adoring hearts!

Buddy Read with Breann and Fantasy! We had a lot of fun fawning over David, getting hot under the collar with Raja's dirty talk, and cheering loudly when certain people got punched in the face!

This was truly a sweet and fluffy Merikan book. However that being said there's still some dismemberment, but it wouldn't be a ‘sex and mayhem’ boo

So...KA Merikan can do sweet & fluffy in a gritty MC series. Who knew?! Don't worry, there's still plenty of blood and violence, so fans of this series won't be disappointed -- and someone dies (and no I am not going to tell you who)! This is how you know this is a KA Merikan novel, after all!

Raja -- bad boy and manwhore of a gay biker. He takes shit from no one. He fucks who he wants and prefers Grindr to actual dates. Raja found himself president of his motorcycle club chapter after their

I'm gonna be in the minority here, but what can I say...I struggled to finish this book.
Bikers and MC s'stories are not something I usually go for (must be a cultural thing and tbh, I don't really like main characters being drug or arm traffickers), so that must explains a bit why I couldn't relate to the story (even though it's not about the club).
I also struggled with these bets and I didn't find Raja and David's relationship believable.
It had good moments for me, but they were spoiled by al

We met the Toledo's club Prez. Raja previously, and now he's visiting Detroit's members, where Hunter's brother, 18 yr. old David, has graduated high school.

David is a good Catholic boy, wears a purity ring, and is beautiful.
Lately his feelings are at war within himself, plus he's attracted to
older, exotic, bearded, super gorgeous, openly gay, Raja.

I bet you that you will find it extremely difficult not to fall for these two guys together. David is all innocence and good intentions while Raja is all jaded cynicism and very dirty intentions. Together they are all delicious sexual tension and cuteness.

I bet you that you won’t be able to keep from saying: Fuck yeah! There was no question that I would adore Raja – K.A. Merikan have a talent for writing gruff alphas who can also be incredibly sweet and vulnerable without losing an oun

So I guess I'm in the minority here.

The premise sounded like something I would love. I love "the virgin and the whore" type of stories. The straight-laced Catholic boy with the big bad biker dude? Sign me up.

But I was probably never going to love this book. The anti-Christian sentiments in it made me uncomfortable. David's brother and his wife are Satanists and they name their baby Beelzebub. I try to be open minded and this alone wouldn't have ruined a book for me, but I admit to not enjoying t

What a great installment in the Sex and Mayhem series. This book was not as dark as previous books. There was still lots of hot sex and romance.

I can hardly think about anything else but you

David is so sweet. He is a natural pleaser but has grown up in such a strict Christian environment he's scared of what he's feeling and thinks something is terribly wrong with him. His parents, which we met in Split are still the same assholes they were before. I cried for David when he tried to

For some reason I ended up reading most books in this series even though I don't like dark books.
This book is different though. It doesn't have a dark theme.

I liked both characters and enjoyed their story.
My only complaint is that I didn't see much character development.
David started the story like a naive boy and it ended the same. Just different clothes.
Raja talked and talked about teaching him stuff but it never happened.

The book as a whole is a big fat NOOOOOOOOO.

However, David's character was very well done. It was realistic and true for his experience.

Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING, was either a ridiculous cliche with no new feel or a Porn-like scene filmed in someone's basement with bad lighting and even worse acting.....

Loved this book so much, but then I've really enjoyed all the books in the series, I never get bored of them. I can't work out who my favourite couple are now though, Tooth and Lucky or Raja and David, they are both so cute.

Well not what I expected. Not really a coherent story. For me not enough convincing. The personalities are not enough explored
Others may really like this one. I..... I didn't connect

This is not something I normally do, read a book in a numbered series out of order. My OCD doesn’t mesh well with things like that, I usually make myself read all the books before I get to the one I want to read. BUT, I took the authors word on good faith that this could be read as a stand alone and dove in because come on; a manwhore and a Catholic virgin? I’d be stupid not to take the opportunity.

From the first page I was hooked. I was hooked in Raja’s POV and all that he was as the new presid

It’s been too long since I immersed myself in one of K.A. Merikan’s bad*ss biker books, so I was particularly thrilled when I realized that this one was still in my huge pile of books to be read. And what an installment this proved to be! “You always want what you can’t have” is not just a well-known phenomenon of human psychology, it is also the perfect summary of the fundamental conflict in this novel. And since it’s a K.A. Merikan, this premise works on more than one level. David is a (mostly ...more

This book reminded me why I freaking LOVE this series so much!!

There is a good storyline here, but I'd say that 90% of the book is all about Raja and David's relationship, which I loved.

Raja is the recently new appointed President of the Toledo chapter of the Coffin Nails MC. He's come to the Detroit chapter (where Tooth is the VP) to mend fences and to start the process of building up his new MC.
It's there that he meets David; sweet, reserved, religious, loving David.

Jen's Review

A manwhore biker. A virginal church boy. Sex, self-discovery, coming into your own, trust, betrayal, violence. A bet that starts it all. Just a few things this story gives us.

David was raised in a home by god fearing judgmental parents. His whole life has been sheltered, living strictly by the teachings of the catholic religion doesn’t leave very much room for personal growth or self-discovery. David has always tried to be good. Always doing what his parents want. Never wanting to ro

What a blast! Funky, dirty and oh so sweet. I had fun reading this book. Raja and David, hot, hot, hot! Sweet lovin. A thoroughly enjoyable reading experience.

Jesus. I really was tired last night. Everything I said is the honest to God truth. I'll elaborate a teeny bit. This book deserves that much.

Raja oozed sex appeal. David, sweetness and light. Raja is a little older and David is unexperienced. Now imagine putting these two together in a well written tale of finding your soul mate in the mad

This was the most "mellow" K.A Merikan book I've read so far. No over the top violence and dark subject matter in this one. I liked it.

It had your good old story about a young man discovering his sexuality with a hot as sin older man. And I mean Hot.As.Sin.

Damn! Who knew a book about a fresh out of catholic high school guy would be so HOT?! The dirty talk was off the chain to boot!! When David reaaaally got into it, I was like "Damn look who grew up?!" Lol!

It almost had too much sex in it... AL

Wow! Serious competition for Tooth and Lucky! How does KA Merikan do it? How can you make a book about a church boy utterly filthy hot?

This is also the book with the least criminal activity or at least it is more dubious or it's something it's hard to criticize.

I Also commend the authors for talking about the many ways prejudice is out there.

Love the dirty talk :)

This was a really fun read full of dirty talk. Not gonna lie; I thought the sexy times were going to be a bit rough D/s play, especially given the opening scene, but sadly no. Regardless, it was still good :)

That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Heart Ripper. On the contrary.

An innocent MC being initiated to the wonders of sex (and as here to the big wide world) by a more experienced, older one is one of my most favourite scenarios. And boy, David certainly IS innocent, and inexperienced and un-be-

I once read, or heard, something amongst the lines, “Your hands don’t know how to be gentle.” It was a lovely piece of poetry about delicate things crumbing under someone’s touch. That piece came to my mind more vividly than ever, and funnily enough I think it applied to the K.A. Merikan duo. They have this way with stories that they take the reader to the extremes, to places that perhaps some are not comfortable with. In fact, I’ve been there, I’ve read books that I wouldn’t usually read.
