Here is a parable of self-exploration and discovery with practical steps to creating a healthy lifestyle--inside and out. Readers will discover someone very familiar in the character of the young man who seeks to understand laws that can lead to lifelong health and well-being. From the author of The Ten Secrets Abundant Happiness. TP: Thorsons.
Adam was born in 1962 in Sussex, England. He graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Southampton in 1983 and went on to qualify as a Solicitor and practise Law in London. However, after three years, Adam decided to leave the Law to pursue a career in natural health sciences.
Adam became a regular columnist for the Nursing Times and Health Guardian and an international, best-selling author. In his business life, Adam built a successful skincare business (Taylor Jackson Health Products) helping psoriasis and eczema sufferers all over the world.
More recently Adam has developed several technology businesses and set up a national initiative helping students learn to computer programming.
This is one relevant book every person should read and digest well. A resume of the Law of Attraction and other secrets to succeed and prosper, Jackson exposes in a simple and deep way the ten most important secrets to achieve wealth, not only in the monetary side, but in every field of life.
Through the story of a young man trying to find his way in this world with all the troubles he has at the moment, difficulties, and limitations, appears a wise oriental man as an angelical and mysterious being who offers the youngster a highly valuable lesson. We are introduced to the forces which are all around and within every human being which can be of great benefit if they are caught and understood. This is the best way to learn some important facts of life through fiction. So, as to check what I've learned in this book, here are the ten secrets to an abundant and wealthy life:
1- The power of the subconscious beliefs. Those who believe will conquer. The mind can achieve whatever it conceives and believes.
2- The power of an ardent desire. You only achieve that in which you fervently believe. Remember the pain of not having that which you've always wanted, the pain which this lack of something will cause you in the future, and think of all the pleasure this will bring you if you have it.
3- The power of a solid purpose. You can achieve what you want if you know exactly what you want and why you want it. Write down exactly that which you wish as goals and visualize yourself achieving them. Remember that wealth and success are measured by the satisfaction you'll feel if you reach your goals and purpose.
4- The power of an organized plan. If you want to succeed in something, you must have a plan, be organized, and set logical strategies. Keep in mind ten ways you think will help you achieve your goals.
5- The power of the specialized knowledge. Knowledge is power. You need to know something at least of that which you want to achieve.
6- The power of perseverance. Success is the result of the accumulation of several efforts. You must always insist and learn from each experience, because all of them will lead you to your goals.
7- The power of expenses regulation. Wealth is 't determined by the amount of money you earn, but by the resultant lifestyle. Regulating your expenses will help you to live well according to your possibilities and to create more income. Save 10% of your actual income for future investments and make your money work for you.
8- The power of integrity. Our acts, speech, and thoughts are like a boomerang: they always come back to us. To build wealth through fraud and trickery is like building a house on sand. Always ask yourself if what you're doing makes you proud of yourself.
9- The power of Faith. Determination is the foundation of faith; when you're determined in what you do, powerful forces will one to your aid. Act as if you're already achieving that which you desire. Repetition makes something part of your subconscious.
10- The power of charity. We seldom achieve something without the help of others. When we help others, we're helping ourselves. Whatever you give will return to you increased. Helping others engraves in your subconscious a sensation of abundance.
There you go. From these secrets you can deduce that being wealthy is similar to being honest, hard working, determined, and above all, human.
The book is ok for beginners who need an initial spark of motivation and who prefer a short and easy-to-read book. For anyone who is already interested in the topic and that read some books about personal finance and wealth creation, this book will be too basic and too unspecific.
Here are my key take-aways: -From the first secret (The Power of Unconscious Beliefs): A person's income is often equal to the person's assessment of their own worth. Many people have negative associations with money because they were taught that money is bad. One has to resolve this conflict by changing these associations and by recognizing that wealth can lead to happiness. -From the second secret (The Power of Burning Desire): Many people believe that being rich destroys friendships and brings tax issues. All in all, they do not really desire to become rich. -From the third secret (The Power of Deliberate Action): Hypnotists use strong language to convince people that they are solid as steel or heavy as a rock. Hypnosis would not work without such strong language. One should say: "I am earning $50'000 from now on until the end of this year." One should always formulate goals positively in present tense. -From the fourth secret (The Power of an Organized Plan): If you think there is no way, you did not think long enough. Always make a list with 10 ways to get to where you want to get. For example, if you want to rais $100'000, write down: "1: Find someone that wants to give $100'000, 2: Find two people that want to give $50'000..." -From the fifth secret (The Power of Specialized Knowledge): General knowledge cannot be used to earn money. Specialized knowledge is monetizable. -From the sixth secret (The Power of Persistence): Even the most famous superstars were rejected early in their careers. And they also suffered from it. There is nothing to replace persistence. From the ninth secret (The Power of Belief): Ask yourself in times of uncertainty and ponder what you would do if nothing could go wrong.
Un clásico de la literatura de desarrollo personal en el que podemos profundizar en cuestiones relativas a las creencias limitantes y el poder del subconsciente, la solidez de propósito vital, la perseverancia y la importancia de la Fe en la consecución de nuestras metas.ç
They say "dynamite comes in small packages" and that's certainly true for this little book. It's short but packs a punch. Granted, some of what is presented here isn't new but it's being presented in form of a parable makes it easier to understand.
It's so simple, yet so true. I was really sick from my childhood, people would say that my healt is not in my power, yet this book says otherwise. Since I starded implementing these laws in my daily life, I feel better than I ever have. Maybe it was just the shift in my mindset, but nonetheless , something did happen.
A wonderful book showing us that if we truly have faith the reward will be there for us. Faith is what gives us our health both physically and mentally.
