Let me just get this off my chest. You must. Clearly now. You must read Breathe Me. I was hard head and did not listen then got to the end and was mad at myself for not heeding the warning.

Deklan and Harley have a very powerful relationship filled with the past and their present. They demons they face seem to make their coming together that much stronger. They have a will to make it more than the outside world. The passion they share

5 stars!

Ugh....I'm so sad it's over! I love Deklan and Harley together. Even though they both have their issues and are learning to deal with them together, I really loved their story. I loved Deklan and I loved how rough around the edges he was. It really worked for his character and he knew exactly what Harley needed and how she needed it. When Deklan told Harley why he was so pissed, my heart broke for him...

“You know why I’ve been so pissed? Because when you tried to kill yourself, you didn

Love can be puzzling

This book follows Breathe Me by the same author. In this book, Harley and Deklan, realize that they have some problems in recognizing that each truly loves the other, but they are so insecure, they are always asking themselves that particular question. Harley is especially troubled, withdrawing from Deklan and having panic attacks. Deklan learns how to help her by breathing with her, and anything to help her, but sometimes it seems he can’t get through

Harley and Deklan are back in the second book of the series. Also just found out that there will be a third book, which I am looking forward to reading.

The story picks up right where it left off from the first book. Harley is a little more whiney in this book and gets on my nerves. Deklan of course is his old self, a jerk, but I will say that the jerk really cares for Harley, he's just a little rough around the edges. We understand a little more why Deklan is the way he is and wow! I'm not sure

Wow I was so excited to receive an advance copy of this book because after I finished reading Breathe Me I was speechless. I couldn’t believe how damaged Harley was and how much Deklan wanted to help but couldn’t talk with her. They both needed to communicate their feelings because they are both holding back. Harley needed to speak to someone professionally and talk about her feelings. She had everything bottled up inside and it was not healthy. They were both going to have a long journey becaus ...more

WOW a great continuation - another emotional and heartbreaking read about Harley and Deklan. We have known since book 1 just how broken they both were , it was questionable at times if they would be able to make it through. Oddly enough in the midst of their chaos they discover how deep their feelings run and finally find a way to express the right emotions and heal each other.

Harley is still recovering from her attempt after her mothers last attack. She has moved with Deklan and although it is

Wow, my second read from Jeri Williams and what an emotional rollercoaster of a read.

Meeting Harley, at one of the lowest points in her life after a failed suicide attempt, we learn of her struggle to reconnect with life. With friends. With her emotions. But through it all, Deklan would be there for her.

Deklan too has had a troublesome upbringing and both he and Harley are kindred souls in that respect. Both emotionally and physically abused, with the emotional abuse leaving much deeper and lo

What affect your more the scars that are left behind due to abuse? Or the scars that are in your mind from that abuse?
Those are the painful things that you will be faced with in this amazing and beautiful romance that will have you in tears and pausing as you read the pain that Harley and Deklan carry while they love each other and try to live a life.
Powerful, that is what Jeri Williams has given us. A story of the power of love, true love that will be with you for better and worse. Your gonna f

************This book deals with abuse and all the darkness that surrounds it********

Phenomenal! This is book 2 in the series and I must commend Jeri Williams for perfectly portraying the feelings, pain and anguish that those whom have been abused face daily.

Hurt Me depicts how many have the need to feel something as they have hidden away emotions to survive the abuse. When the physical abuse ends, there is still so much anguish they experience that many turn to drugs, sex and physical mutati

Oh my GOD I am so excited for this sequel by Jerri Williams. I thought the first one gripped me to tears but knowing that Deklan is there all the way just grabs me again. I once again have to applaud Jerri Williams for creating Deklan just for Harley. These two have a bond that is not only unique and special but one that through pain can be healed. Have to say the emotional twists Jerri Williams takes us in this book was like wow.

Another great read from this author! Her work captures me from the first sentence. I always read more of the Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance genre, but Jerri's books blow me away. Talk about intense reads, this has it. And I never re-read books but this one has me wanting to read the first on, Breathe Me, again and then re-read this one. I don't know how she does it but I feel so much emotion in her books. From the horror of what Deklan and Harley have suffered in life to the intensely emot ...more

Surviving pain is a journey. In this follow-up to Breathe Me, we find Harley and Deklan still working to heal. It is a real journey for them both to heal and Deklan has to deal with his own past. They have to learn to support one another while they work on their own issues as well.

It is a very emotional read about topics many don't feel comfortable discussing. I enjoyed the story and the characters. It really hits home for those who know survivors of abuse or are survivors themselves.

Great continuation of the first story of Harley and Declan. Harley tried to kill herself the night her mother tried to kill her but didn't finish the job. Declan finds her and tries to keep her safe and get her to be an ok person. They have many issues between the two of them and try to work things out. Very emotional story and kept you reading to find out what the final outcome for Harley would be.

Hurt me by Jeri Williams was an intense 5 star read.

If you have not read BREATHE ME: A 'ME' NOVEL, this book will be a spoiler for you.
I unfortunately did not read Breath Me first and I wish I had. I felt like I was in the dark on some things and playing catch up on others.

Although, I do have to say that I truly enjoyed reading Deklan and Harley’s story and I will be going back to read Breath Me Deklan was so great with Harley, he was caring and tried to be understanding. The sex was freaking

Harley Reynolds doesn't know why she's still alive. Harley struggles with how to go on but doesn't share this with Deklan. When Harley's world is torn upside down Deklan stood by her side even if she didn't know what she wanted. Deklan Kane only knows that Harley can turn his feelings inside out and afraid of losing her especially since her suicide attempt. Harley is coming out of her shell yet she's still standing. Deklan's brother Matt tries to badmouth Harley yet Harley asks did you know Dekl ...more

gritty and real... a dark contemporary romance... love how Williams show that just because there is a happy ending, there can still be work to be done... sexy and I really liked one emotional scene for Deklan (liked all his parts) but there was one scene that practically jumped off the page... cant wait to see what she does with the other characters...

Very emotional story. Very good. These characters are both so broken and emotionally abused. The story runs you through a spectrum of emotions making for quite a ride. This is the first book I've read from this author and it has left me wanting more. I recommend this book for reading .

Jeri Williams lives a super fabulous lifestyle (by fabulous, she mean’s kinda lame) in the hot Florida sun and loves reading of any kind (except instruction manuals and cereal boxes). She has always written stories and made her family listen to them since she was young. In between her day job and wrangling an up-and-coming Jerry Seinfeld (in girl form) She writes make you feel stuff books. She als ...more
