I'd probably rate this lower than 3 stars but I did make it through the whole thing; I usually reserve 1 & 2 stars to books I can't even finish, which is rare. After all, even 3 stars is in effect 60%, a failing grade. The premise sounded right up my alley but the execution - not so much. They jumped in so fast that I did not feel their emotion at all. The writing just didn't convey it. There were parts that really needed work. How can an author and editor not notice that the heroine, a 24 year old MBA student, "giggled" 3 times in a 2 page spread?

This is a great series.
Probably not 4 stars though.
1. The stories are way too short
2. Not a huge amount of character development
3. Book was written in 2016. Chase had sex with Summer immediately after they met-he pulled out. He did this plan twice before he came inside her. They did not use condoms.They did not discuss any form of birth control or protection or testing for diseases. He's a billionaire and a professor. Yah, I believe that...
4. NO other women wanted him except students. He had no women stalking him. He didn't have any ex's. There is no mention of other women with the exception of Hannah (who was a student he saw his first year teaching). He's "gorgeous" a "billionaire" and "professor" - so older. But no women in his past, or present. Yah, I believe that...
5. This is the biggie for me.
In the beginning of the series Summer was taking the class Chase taught because she wanted to. She didn't need it for credit to graduate. She could drop it...ect...Then later Chase had to get her into another class, because she dropped his, so she could graduate.
Authors really need to remember what they wrote. Editors should catch these things.
So...not really 4 stars, I was being generous ;-)

Painful read, is it really a third edition?
I bought this series in 2016 and just read it. There was no real character development, I kept reading thinking it was coming because I hate to give up on a book or series. The typos, lack of proofreading before release and changing details mid paragraph are the worst I’ve seen in any ebook. I had previously determined some of it was due to technical issues but there are just was too many for that to be the case here. How this series has such a good overall rating is beyond me. Now, do I try to endure the other series I purchased from this author? I mean at this point they already have my money thankfully it’s not much.

I have the distinct pleasure in having had read this collection of Chosen...back before I truly understood how KU worked and the process and importance of reviewing said books...
I would in a heartbeat read this series again, not just to do it but to be able to catch what I’ve might of missed.
This collection will get you from the jump start and will keep you going until the very end...

fantastic love story chase and summer she is a student he is a billionaire businessman once he sees her he wants her but he had a bad experience before with a student who took him for alot....wummer wants no favors wants to be successful without his help....her ex comes to town and wants money or he will ruin her and chase with the videos he has taken of both.....chase of course comes to her rescue and finally after her graduation he asks her to marry him......of course there is so much in between this story from start to finish so you have to read it for yourself excellent reading

I am not a quitter, that is the only reason I finished this series. It just wasn't for me, and that happens. Very rushed and forced. Characters have sex after speaking maybe 10 words to each other. I get these were novellas, but it was too formulated for me.....conflict, make up, sex, repeat. Sorry just not my favorite.

Wonderful love story and friendships!
Nice love story! Enjoyed reading this book. Summer and Chase had an instant attraction to one another. They had set backs in their relationship but in the end they made it.

I like the story well enough but I can't say that I was very impressed. It is well written, easy to read. What I miss in the story is more action and drama. I give only 3 stars because the author didn't keep me in suspense through the whole story.

The story is fresh, contemporary, well crafted, realistic, romantic, and seductive. This is not erotica but does contain some adult material including some very tasteful sex scenes. The dialogue is smart, well executed and flows smoothly. The characters are well developed, captivating, engaging and quickly become the most important component in this story as seems to often be the case in many of Danes books. They take center stage and as the story unfolds, Danes does an exceptional job of the development of her two main players, Chase Kerns and Summer Farris. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the first person with his and her alternating points of view from the two protagonists. Danes skillfully combines these elements to craft a delightfully entertaining contemporary romance.

The Chosen series is a wonderful read about billionaire Chase Kerns and a college student, Summer Farris. They meet during a class that Chase teaches every year with one student staying on at the end to work in his company. These two have many trials and tribulations (you'll have to read the books to find out what those are...no spoilers here) but through it all their love stands strong. This series contains all the angst and drama needed to make it a very interesting read.

Good story!
I really liked this book it kept my interest and made me laugh at times as well. The story of a successful businessman that also teaches at the local college and one of his students whom are attracted to each other immediately!
However the reason for 4 stars is because of so many typos! A good editor would have made all the difference in the world!

As always, the author, Ellie Danes, does not let us down. Full of lust, sex, power, control and some violence, the Chosen by Him Series is absolutely Amazing. Each Series captures your attention and you cannot wait to read the next one. With each book, the excitement, sex, lust and longing grew and you never knew what was around the corner. Cannot wait to see what Ellie has in store for us next.

The story line was intriguing and I enjoyed it. However, the editing was awful and turned me off from the story. At one point a main character,s name is wrong. In addition, an assortment of pronouns did not match. The punctuation isn't much better. I would have kept better interest in the book if it had been proof read and edited properly.

Okay read
This series is a little boring it plods along nothing in it fires the imagination. There is no real feeling of passion or chemistry between the lead characters Chase and Summer. The story just drifts along with no real purpose.

I enjoyed The Chosen Series by Ellis Danes. The way Summer and Chase met and how their relationship developed was so good to read. I also like how they overcame adversaries.

Read as far as the third party and just couldn't talk my self into completing, just had no interest in the main characters, they were really two dimensional, it was difficult to like them, never mind root for them as a couple.

The characters are very stupid to be in grad school and a billionaire. Stupid fights. Summer is a very selfish and stupid. Not a very good l plot. I started skimming over stuff to get finished

The full Chosen series takes you on a ride of emotions with Summer and Chase. It all begins with an internship but ends as more. The characters are well developed but for me too nice. I wanted a little more. Still a great story.
