This very basic book has photographs of fruit we commonly eat, paired with photographs of where the fruit grows. The point of having this book in the school is to show the students where their food come from. The only page that has more than one or two words on it says "Fruit grows in many places" beside an overgrown orchard under a moody looking sky. Yes, fruit does grow in many places. More places than most people stop to think about. However that doesn't elevate this book enough for me to give it more than three stars. The strangest fruit in the book is the starfruit. It is kinds cook to see a starfruit grove. Go, Go Grapes! was way better. My kids were way into it; they had me read it three times in a row. But the fruit in that one probably just came from the grocery store.

A picture of a piece of fruit and then a picture of where it comes from--field, orchard, or grove.
