What a delightful romp through the seder via this Joyous Haggadah! The multi-layered narrative and rituals in this haggadah appeal to the eye, the imagination, the funny-bone, and the occasion. Beginning with the prequel of the Joseph story, continuing until the Israelites gain their freedom, and ending with more symbolic rituals and song, the combination of telling the story and conducting the seder is presented clearly with charming and wacky humor (in both words and visuals). The cartoon-like illustrations not only enhance the story but will also add to a memorable and joy-filled shared family experience!

Adore this Haggadah book! Both authors infused differing perspectives from memories of their childhood family’s Seder meal celebrations commencing Passover with their quirky, hilarious sense of humor and the lush illustrations to create this delightful Haggadah version.
Even though I’m Christian/Lutheran, since I was a kid learning about Jesus, He was always Jewish to me because He honored those traditions while on earth. When my family moved to Central Florida, I began to better understand the Jewish faith from Jewish classmates, neighbors, and coworkers.
But never fully explored the details until more recently, due to rekindled inspiration from watching ‘The Chosen’ the past few years and ‘When Do We Eat?’.
I prefer learning new concepts through kids' books, like this one, since it describes tradition and history in a playful yet straightforward manner while sparking joy and excitement to want to learn more.
Oh, and what struck me the most while reading? Without the Jews, there would be no Christians. Dayenu! Happy Passover ~ Chag Pesach semeach! 🍷🍷🐑 📜
