The word bogeyman covers a lot of ground. It is a myth, but not a good one, something to be very afraid. But what is it? Evil, bad, hateful... the author gives a potential explanation of the world and refers to all kind of bogeymen and bogeywomen, Lamia, Golem, Wendigo, Mothman, Jack the Ripper, Grendel, the motif covered by Stephen King. In the chapter Slicers and Dicers we hear about Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, Scream and Scary Movie. Really enjoyed this colorful book with many illustrations and insight into the subject. The author did an excellent job here. If you ever wanted to know more about this scary character. This is the book. Highly recommended!
