2 1/2 really. I enjoyed some of the depictions of real life characters, but I thought a lot of it was spoiled with too much description of clothes and furniture and I couldn’t really admire the main character, though the ending was sort of great. It had some humor to it, but considering it was, Ruth Gordon, I thought it would be funnier.
