In this Diego's adventure he sets out to save the bees from a rain storm. He helps teach young readers-listeners that bees can't fly in rain and that rain could harm bees. Also he helps them learn that bees live in 'hidden' areas so if children remember while they are outdoors that hidden places could 'house' various animals (some of which could be harmful) like snakes, spiders and bees. This book was better than the other Diego books I've read to my 2 year old granddaughter. Usually the others are almost word for word of the tv show which kind of made the book boring because it was SOOO interactive and not an actual 'storybook' but this one wasn't that way. Only a few times within the story did it as the reader 'questions'... Also I liked the fact that this story the wording had pictures along the way for young readers but under each picture they put what it is so an adult can easy read through the story without having to stop and wonder what the picture is suppose to be. So easy for early readers but 'typical' for us to read on. Very well done.

I just don't get how the whole theme of "these insects/animals won't survive without DIEGO" is acceptable to anyone!
