What a fun book! I am not really sure what it was about the book that first caught my attention. The word "paranormal" in the title automatically made me take a second look but I also really like the cover. I hadn't read a cozy mystery for years before picking up this book so I was also wanting to read something a little different from my normal pick. I am so glad that I decided to read this book because it was an incredibly enjoyable read in ...more

A "perfectly" delicious cozy mystery with an endearing undertone of recognizing self-identity and life purpose, A PERFECTLY PARANORMAL MUSEUM was a one-sitting, I-can't-stop read. Truly delightful! I would love to see this extended to a series_especially as our heroine Madelyn comes to term with her paranormal experiences, and expands her mind

While I normally avoid the paranormal genre, I do love a good ghost story. Emphasis on good. The story and the ghost. I’m not into evil or creepy paranormal beings, thank you. I very much enjoyed both the story and the ghost in The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum. It always helps when there is a compelling historic mystery surrounding the ghost, in addit ...more

This was a cute book. The title/cover made me chuckle, the setting was so small-town, and the characters so typical that it really did fit the ‘cozy mystery’ tag. I had to keep reminding myself that there was a mystery (there legitimately is one, by the way), because this was just such a light read for me that I couldn’t take it seriously.

It was the title. I couldn't help myself and had to see what that was all about. This was a new to me author and a new cozy mystery series that may have a spooky element.
The story opens with Maddie back in town and meeting up with her best friends. She's a bit sensitive about returning to her home town because she got fired for not doing an unethical thing and she feels that with such talented brother and sister that there is pressure on her to find something in her career fiel ...more

The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum sounded like a great introduction to paranormal cozy mysteries. This is the first paranormal cozy mystery I read and it was a fun introduction to this sub genre. I really enjoyed this book, even though the paranormal aspect is very mild and subtle, I did like how it was woven into the plot and the paranormal museum made for a great and original setting. Add in a small town, a murder mystery and a main chara ...more

When Adele is arrested for a murder Maddie knows she didn’t’ commit and then another murder happens as wel ...more
The setting is kinda fun and the characters are a little quirky (with room to grow) in this cozy murder mystery. The story is uncomplicated so it makes for a quick, easy read on a wintry afternoon. My disappointment is that there was hardly any ghostly happenings. The romance was very light also, and that's ok - it seems the author is setting up that end of it for future book ...more
