This has been a favorite restaurant since my teen years. It has had staying power, I think, because their menu has changed over the years. They are constantly reinventing themselves (but not so often that I can't find favorite meals I long to go back for). One of my current favorites is the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. It's nice to have a recipe so that I don't always have to go to the restaurant to have it. It's also nice to have recipes for some of the old favorites that are no longer on their menu.

I got this cookbook as a Christmas Present and I love it! The very next day after receiving it, I went out and bought the ingredients for the Focaccia bread and Alfredo sauce. Both turned out perfectly. I can't wait to try out more of the recipes, including the warm potato salad and Santa Fe Chicken Salad, both of which are my usual order when I go to Earls.

It's great to find all your faves from throughout the years in this cookbook. The pictures are great. Not all the ingredients are things you would have on hand (which is why you go out to eat) so plan ahead if you are going to make some of them. Recipes are clear and easy to follow.

I waited over three months to finally get a copy of this this cookbook and was so excited, I could hardly stand myself when it finally arrived. The book is beautifully photographed and makes my mouth drool. Earl's restaurants in Canada are an establishment that consistently serves the best quality and delicious menu items, all prepared with a gourmet chef's touch. In over 30 years, I have never once been served a meal that I wasn't happy with; which really says something.

I have already tried two of the recipes, one of them a salad and one a soup; and was floored as to how easy they were to prepare and how delicious they were. Some of the recipes have ingredients that are not too common, such as truffle oil; but I will definitely go out and purchase these items. Some of the recipes also seem quite detailed and time consuming to prepare as well. I am already planning ahead to prepare more of the recipes!

I wish more restaurants would come out with a cookbook; and YES, I still plan on regularly going to Earl's restaurants every chance I get!! A real gem of a book! This is one book that is never going to be loaned to anyone because I fear that it might not be returned to me!
