I only read up to age four, but I will finish it as my kids get older. I want to own this book because it simple and clear. It was different than I thought it would be in that it doesn't talk a lot about specific games to play. I thought it was just a book about games to play with your kids, but it is an explanation of how your kids learn and develop through each age. The secret is that kids brains grow best when they have a lot of opportunity to explore and play.

Drawing on the latest research into brain development, social and emotional growth, and learning, a parenting expert and author of The 7 Stages of Motherhood explores the role and value of play at each stage of a child's development and offers suggestions on the best ideas, toys, and games for each age. Original.

worth skimming @ the library, but not worth checking out - too wide of an age range for kids & age appropriate skills.

Covers birth through age 8. Only read the chapters from birth through age 2. Would be good to check out again once AJ is older.

So badly edited and proof read it was a laborious read with few suggestions which fifteen minutes on pinterest couldn't have replaced.
