Including 24 original projects, this book also lists equipment and materials that are essential in making even the most basic quilt.
Whew, now that's over with, the illustrations are very easy to follow, and color coded so even the most novice sewer can feel like they can put a quilt together
without tearing their hair out, or resorting to throwing the entire project out the window in frustration. ( Not like that's EVER happened to me! )
The quilt layout and assembly is extremely helpful, especially if you've never done a quilt before and a great reminder to those who think they know EVERYTHING about quilting, because it helps with straight setting, on-point setting, and sash setting.
Adding batting and backing can be a real pain but this book can be a real time saver and has helpful hints to make quilting easy and fun.
I wouldn't recommend trying the sampler patchwork quilt until you've mastered curved edges however, they can make even a veteran quilter wrench material from her machine and try to run it through a shredder! ( No I've never done that I swear!)
This book has it all, pattern pieces, quilting motifs, appliqué, speed piecing, Bargello, and cathedral style quilts.
Start simply, and progress at your own pace. This book will guide you along, and help you in so many ways, happy quilting!
