Diversity Amid Globalization explicitly acknowledges the geographic changes in today’s world by emphasizing both the homogenizing and diversifying forces inherent to the globalization process. This approach allows the authors to emphasize the interconnections that bind people and places together. The globalization approach challenges students to make critical comparisons between the regions of the world in order to understand them more fully.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has a lot of fascinating information that attributes real causes to why our world is the way it is economically and socially! Great read!
What can I say? It's a textbook. It's dense and full of material. Did I learn from it? Yes, actually, which I suppose means that it did its job. Good job!
I just loved this book. As a geographer I really enjoyed reading this. It was nicely structured and easy to read. I really recommend this book to anyone even middly interested in world regions and how they are structured
This is a pretty good textbook but it needs a ton of updating. For example, Osama Bin Laden was killed over five years ago and in this book it talks about trying to find him.
