I have to admit I was very disappointed with Dog Not Gone! After thoroughly enjoying the first in this series Doggone, and rating it 5*, I was looking forward to an equally entertaining children’s story.

Here is the link to that review: http://pambookreviews.blogspot.com.au...

The fun and wonderful characters including, Sherlock Bones (the greatest detective in the world), Dr. Jane Catson (his offsider and who’s house Bones has decided to move into), Mr Javier (a turtle who is employed as butler

Hahahaha. If you just read book one--Doggone, you will feel absolutely incomplete. You have to read book two--Dog not gone to really have the full on Bones-Catson experience. These two books --Doggone and Dog Not Done is like our famous duo. You have to read them one right after the other to have the absolute fill and thrill.

Dog Not Gone narrates how Bones talked his way into moving into the Catson's house and making him a partner to the detective consulting business without his permission and t

Dr Catson is a snark of a cat who really needs her sleep. Sherlock Bones is a sly old dog who talks himself into a whole lot of things. Professor Moriarty is the evil squirrel who is the nemesis of good. A well written fun mystery with lots of twists and turns!

The second book of "Sherlock Bones" starts where the first one ended. Well, in a way....

Again, it is told from the point of view of Dr. Catson, whom is a sarcastic, yet funny character, which makes the writing fun to read.
This time we finally get the "behind the crime" details of the crime committed in the first book. Sherlock Bones, who of course already knows all the details, starts telling the story to Catson and the gang (the pups and Mr. Javier).
I really enjoyed this book, more than the f

Continuing on where the first book leaves off, although very well recapped in these pages, this story introduces us to Sherlock's nemesis Professor Moriarty, in the shape of a squirrel.

With the assistance of a horse named Fred, and showing Dr. Catson's disdain for the intelligence of other species, the story continues across the pond with a history lesson.
We did mention the overriding theme was revenge which knows no boundaries.
By the end we have discovered the motive behind the initial two murd

Dr. Catson is certain she never invited Sherlock Bones to stay in her home. Of course, she forgets this as the current investigation explains the previous case.

So, I was expecting an entirely different case for the detecting duo to solve, and was excited about the appearance of the squirrel, Professor Moriarty. However, this book is the explanation that Sherlock Bones said was unnecessary in the first book: the reason for the murders.

That was disappointing, but it was nice to have an end to A St
