The Hibernation Diet: It Works While You Sleep

Rate this book
While working with athletes, Mike McInnes discovered that eating fructose-rich foods such as honey helped to burn fat and increase stamina. He also found that the best time to burn fat is while sleeping. Eating honey before bed activates the body?s natural recovery biology, which is fuelled by burning fat. These effects can be maximized by the accompanying 15 minute exercise program that is effective with only three sessions per week. Tested by professional athletes, this dream diet aims at creating a healthier lifestyle and increasing athletic ability rather than just losing weight.

Very insightful to the body's ability to metabolize food, and the benefits with the incredible addition of honey! With all the diet craze and conflicting information, this book offers a clear description of what works.

Originally published in England, this edition has been converted to American weights and measures.

I liked the concept behind this book. I feel that honey is good for you no matter what you are eating it for. I did not go looking for this book as a weight loss solution. I was much more interested in the health benefits for my liver and brain during sleep. I have adopted the concept of taking 1-2 tablespoons of honey before bed, and honestly feel better for it.
