Sweet, sexy & delightful!

He was a living, breathing fantasy. Her own rock and roll fantasy at that! And every minute of every day it was getting more and more difficult to ignore the attraction brewing between them.

Samantha Chase gives legendary rock-star Riley Shaughnessy his own happy-ever-after in This Is Our Song. The book’s leading lady is entertainment reporter Savannah Daly. The couple’s entertaining story takes place on two coasts - in both California and North Carolina.

This story had a good prologue and got off to a fun start with a nice plot but their first fight seemed phony and thereafter things were too pat and unrealistic with lots of thoughts. The ending was dramatic but predictable. Reporter Savannah grudgingly accepts an assignment to interview and do an article on rock star Riley who is in a slump.

Finding Music and Love

I was so completely thrilled to accept and thoroughly enjoy the fourth edition to the romantic and exciting series, The Shaughnessy Brothers. Written by my all time author, Samantha Chase. I have completely adored her wonderful love stories so very much and couldn't wait to discover this fun and hilarious book.

Riley, a musician, a guitarist, found his life so confusing, so in need to write his music. He knew he had to finish his latest playlist, but he knew he couldn't. He

I liked this one, but I didn't love it. And, at first I wasn't sure why. But after thinking about it, there were parts of the story where I didn't totally believe the characters. Not badly enough to stop reading, not badly enough to give the book a bad rating...but just enough that it kept me from loving the story as much as I thought I was going to.

I liked Riley and Savannah, although I am not sure I believed them completely. He seemed

You know, I think I liked it better when you said stuff I couldn't understand. This getting right to the point is kind of hurtful.

That was fun... I'm telling you some of the greatest moments of my day come when I get to freak my husband out... Sometimes I blame it on pregnancy hormones, other times it's just for my own amusement.

Samantha Daly is an entertainment reporter and only knows Riley Shaughnessy by his bad boy rock star persona. And now her boss has sent her on the road with him to do a big magazine spread for her magazine. Riley has set out on a solo career after a very successful career with his band. He's had a serious case of writer's block and is doubting whether he will ever finish his solo album. He's not too keen on having a reporter follow him around. Then a chance meeting before they meet up to discuss ...more

Riley Shaughnessy is a a musician that has separated from his band to try to make it big with his own solo album. He can write his own songs, perform and make it big by himself...except he has a mental block that is to the point the label wants him gone. Unless he interviews with a magazine (which he really doesn't want to do) and gives them something to feed off of until his album is finished and released. Riley decides to buy time, he wil

I have a confession to make: I had very little interest in this book and only planned to read it because I've read the others in the series and I'm waiting impatiently for Owen's book. (I LOVE OWEN SHAUGHNESSY. He's got more scenes in this one than all the others so far, yay!) ANYWAY, maybe it's because I had rather low expectations, but I was so pleasantly surprised by this one and it's the best one of the series yet.

Riley is a wonderful hero. As the book opens, he's struggling to write a solo

Seriously, if you can write a story that makes me laugh, makes me cry and well leave me wanting more, then hello 5 stars. This Is My Song is worth every one of those stars.

Riley Shaughnessy is in a huge flunk, unable to move forward in his solo career after splitting from his rock group, his manager and friend has suggested an interview for a magazine. Not looking forward to it but having not many other choices, Riley decides to meet with Sava

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I'm not huge on books staring singers and rock stars so I would have passed on this story if it wasn't part of a series I already love. Passing would have had me missing out on a wonderful story.

Savannah is a reporter and she is pulled off a prime assignment to interview Riley, who is taking a break from his band to make a solo album. Savannah is no fan of Riley's but once they meet the really click. Riley comes up with the

Out of all of Samantha Chase's amazing books, THIS IS OUR SONG is my absolute favorite!!! The Shaughnessys are my surrogate family, I want to be one so badly! Hooking up with Riley would be my dream, but he is taken by the simply wonderful, Savannah.

Riley knew he had everything going for him in his musical world. As front man of one of the world's most famous bands, SHAUGHNESSY, he had everything and everyone at his beck and call. When he decided to embark on his solo project and froze, he pani

I can't get enough of this series and I absolutely love Riley!

Riley is the entertainer of the family. Rock Star. Always in the spotlight and suddenly not really enjoying all of the acclimation. As he sees his brother's lives changing by falling in love, he starts to wonder what it is that he's missing in his own life. Plus the writer's block that he's in is not helping him at all.

Enter Savannah Daily. She's a hard hitting entertainment reporter who has been assigned to follow Riley for a month,

ARC Review: This is Our Song (The Shaughnessy Brothers) by Samantha Chase

Overpowering, possessive and sensitive. What else would be expected from a Shaughnessy. They are over achievers who live life to the fullest and love as hard as they work. Riley has all of these traits with an extra dose of charisma and insecurity that he keeps close to the vest, but when Savannah walks into his world and takes up residence in his heart, his sensors hit overdrive really fast. There are a number of reasons w

Another amazing story in this series! Riley by far is the most charismatic of the Shaughnessy family and while each of the family was affected by the loss of his mother, Riley had a very special place in his heart for her. She was the one that always encouraged his music. She believed in him no matter what. So this latest bout of writers block is hard for him to deal with. He's always had music. If that leaves him what does he have left?? Savannah Daly is a reporter who has interviewed all sorts ...more

I really like Riley, he had a possessive streak in him, “there’s nothing cold about it. We are involved. We’re dating. Seeing each other.” He kissed her deeply before raising his head and saying, “You’re mine.” Riley doesn't like being told no, “I prefer you to come home with me now,” he growled, hauling her into his arms and kissing her. “I’ve had far too many fantasies about making love to you in my bed for me to have to wait another day.” I really enjoyed this book, I loved Riley, and Savanna ...more

I loved this book, just as I've loved the other books in the series so far. The Shaughnessy family just grows on you and you can't help but love them all. This was a sweet love story between Riley, a rock musician, and Savannah, an entertainment reporter tasked with writing an article on Riley and his journey to a new solo album.

They meet unexpectedly before they officially begin the article interview process and it's a 'meet cute' type meeting. There was definitely an instant attraction betwee

Fantastic Story! Samantha Chase outdid herself with this one. I was unable to put this piece of perfection down. This had it all, the angst, sweetness, explosive chemistry, the forbidden element, and raw sexiness. This story made me laugh, cry, swoon and I didn't want it to end. I fell hard and fast for this story. Samantha Chase has a way with words, like a great artist has with paint, she creates a world that I love to visit, and sometimes would love to live in as I found myself with this stor ...more

This Is Our Song by Samantha Chase is the 4th book in the Shaughnessy Brothers series. From the moment I began the series, I just knew I had to catch up and read the others! This is a series that encompasses family, romance and life lessons! Each story tugs at my heart strings. I smile so much and I feel connected to these characters who are a tight knit group! Riley Shaughnessy is a big time rock star. He recently stepped back from his band to prove that he could handle a solo career. But... he's recently hit a brick wall on his song writing. His label is about to dump him but agree that he can have another chance as long as he participates in a month-long interview that will put him back in the public's eye. And not for being known as the least-talented of his band mates.

All I can say is that I have a new book boyfriend, His name is Riley Shaughnessy. Riley is a rock star, trying to reinvent himself, he is having a hard time writing/performing until he meets reporter, Savannah Daly, who is going to spend time with Riley getting the interview she can. The story starts in California but we soon end up in North Carolina, with the rest of the Shaughnessy family. ( Oh how I love this family!!) Sweet story

This story about rock star Riley and music journalist Savannah was so sweet! Riley is suffering from a lack of self confidence and worth, and struggling as he tries to come up with music for his first solo album. He meets Savannah, a music journalist assigned to write a series of stories about him. She thinks he’s just a pretty boy with no talent, but the more time she spends with him, the more she realizes how wrong she is. When she sees the depth of who he really is, she grows more

WOW - what a song.

For starters this is the best book in this series. These boys are shaped from the time spent with their mother and her death when they were all so young. This story had me in tears in just the first few pages.

Riley is trying to make a solo album and has hit a wall. The songs are in his head, but just not coming out his mouth or his fingers on his guitar. So his manager thinks he needs this big magazine story. Here comes Savannah. Savannah is not a Riley Shaughnessy fan. So sh

Another very sweet story. The characters are fun and interesting. I figured out what I dislike about this series though: the author skimps out on details. The story didn't feel completely developed because whole chunks of time with the couple together or apart were not written. I could feel them missing. Additionally, I really like the tidbits of family time we get in the story. However that is the problem : only tidbits are given. I was interested in book two and this book to see the friendship ...more

This series is quickly becoming repetitive to the point where each book is hardly any different than the last. They all have essentially the same concept. Guy meets girl. Guy and girl have an instant attraction to each other. Girl ends up working with/for guy for an extended period of time. Guy and girl form a relationship. There is a big fight that stems from the guy having emotional issues brought on by the death of the mom many years ago.
