Although it’s true to the usual Charlie Brown spirit, this book is pretty negative.

Charlie Brown is worried about the school year starting. when he finds out there is a spelling bee happening, he decides to volunteer. A very sad but somewhat humorous story.

This classic book is based on the comic strips by Charles M. Schulz. I would recommend this for grades 2-4. This is a day in the life of Charlie Brown during his school days. Filled with the humor and magic of Lucy, Charlie Brown, and of course Snoopy. The students would relate their day to his day and find laughter in it. I could see this being used as an independent book for students.

This book is a classic, along with other charlie brown books. It is relatable for students who are nervous to go back to school so it would be a nice easy read. The illustration helps show exactly what is going on in the story and the characters facial expressions when things are occuring.
