OMG! I had no idea I was going to love this book so much! I love when I just stumble into one and love it!

Carissa is a cop and she has a lot of spunk. She doesn't take no lip from anyone. Then she runs into a demon......

She continued with small steps toward the middle of the warehouse. Movement to her right caught her eye. Surprise punched her lungs and spread down her abdomen. A monstrous shape materialized from the darkened depths. Dark crimson skin covered exposed muscle

What can I say...a real page turner, leaving me at the end to say...what is going to happen next, cannot wait.
The relevance to Greek modern life combining the fantasy world as well as intertwining the chaos of the humanist profiles of the Greek Gods keeps you captivated.
As stated...waiting for book two.

This novel was a quick, easy read. As a longtime fan of The Dark Hunter Series, I found this similar, but without the darkness of the previous novels, which I really liked. I know that authors sometimes use their novels for catharsis, but unfortunately sometimes the novels become too depressing and are no longer enjoyable. With this novel I get the Greek influence that I enjoyed along with the vamps, witches and as an added bonus there are weres. I’m not a huge fan of insta-love, but when the ...more

High impact action. Adrenaline filled drama. Paranormal romance with gods and demons and more.

Mythology comes to the forefront. What you thought you were taught in school has a new spin with well developed character and a vivid world built around them. Carissa is a demi-god with no knowledge of such. She had dedicated her life to protect and serve her fellow mankind. Then one day she finds this all has changed. I found her to be well rounded, strong, independent, and unwilling to take a backseat

Awesome book and extremely well written, Ireally couldn't stop reading itonce I started. This was a solid story and I’m really looking forward to the second one.The only part that was a little frustrating was all the greek words most of the time you could easily figure out what it might mean but I would have like a little less of them. But would definitely recommend this one to anyone who likes the Paranormal or Urban Fantasy Romance books.

The only note is that I could find where is was

Carissa is the daughter of a God living in the mortal realm making her living as a police office in America.

That is until things go wrong at a warehouse and her partner is injured. In the skirmish, she comes face to face with Xen, an immortal vampire with a very large sword.

Now the demons are after her and her attraction to Xen is messing with her mind.

I was attracted to this title for 2 points. I have

First time reading a romance/fantasy novel and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the action packed start through to the conclusion I was hooked and even seen reading it at the gym. Plenty of action and mystery throughout as the story gradually unravelled leaving you at the end, wanting more.. Looking forward to the next installment and intrigued to find out more information on each main characters' backstory.

Yes! Finally! I knew it that Greeks can do everything! I wanted to read a paranormal romance based on Greek mythology and this book was great!

Fast-paced, full of action and with hot and badass characters, “Phantasma” is the perfect read if you are a fan of this genre! The fact that the main character, Carissa, is funny and badass made me like the book since chapter 1 and as for Xen, what can I say? He’s the perfect male for a paranormal romance story: big, badass, sexy and protective of the

Carissa is a cop who investigates a tip off about a warehouse only to find her world turned upside down - who knew that demons , vampires and werewolves existed .
Zen , the leader of the Phi is immortal, and is fighting demons in the warehouse when Carissa and her partner arrive . He soon realises that Carissa is his mate and tries unsuccessfully to take away her memories of the warehouse fight , it does not work and she is soon drawn into his world = protecting humans from demons .

Having grown up in a particularly Greek suburb of inner-western Sydney, the Greek culture, language and mythology have all long held great fascination for me.

So, seeing a paranormal romance that blends all of these with a hefty dose of fast-paced drama and action-packed adventure…..I was all over that like a hungry seagull on a fresh hot chip!

Wow! What an adventure you will be taken on with Phantasma, the debut offering from Sydney author, Efthalia.

Here are my thoughts on Phantasma:

What really stands out in Phantasma is the love of all things Greek - food, mythology, and family. The author reveals her passion for her Greek heritage and culture through many aspects of this story. As a student in high school, I delighted in learning about Greece and the pantheon of capricious gods, and I wasn't disappointed in the way Phantasma served up a wonderful taste of that world. The author creates a parallel universe filled with all manner of Unearthly beings, and there is an age-old ...more

Carissa works for the police and one day she finds herself in a warehouse at the wrong time and her partner and her are attacked by demons. Xen is a vampire that has spent his years protecting humans from a distance. But when he sees Carissa he realizes that she is his mate. Although he tries to take Carissa’s memories of the warehouse, she still remembers bits and pieces. Then she learns that she is a demi-god. Carissa needs to learn how to use her abilities since a rouge vampire wants to ...more

I didn't realise how much I enjoy Greek Gods in my stories! This reminded me of the Gods of Oakleigh series by Juanita Kees, particularly the first book Finding Paradise. The mix of mythology into modern day makes for great fantasy storytelling.

The writing was so beautiful and fast paced. I was easily lost into the world and could see, hear, and feel everything. Even though it was told in third-person, I was easily connected to all the characters and relationships. I flew by the novel in a day because I was entirely caught in rapture. There’s no introduction to the characters; you’re kind of just thrown into it and i was lost for a bit. Especially since the names are

Carissa feels terrible about dragging her partner into a dark warehouse while they are off duty just to follow up on a tip from one of her informants. And of course they run into trouble, but she can’t explain what she is seeing. Carissa has dreamt about the same fictional man since she was a teenager, but never did she expect to encounter him in real life wielding a sword in a battle against some demon creatures. Next thing she knows, her partner is in the hospital fighting for his life and she ...more

I was quite torn on how to rate or review this book. It has a lot of potential, but i feel like it wasn't quite finished. It needed some tidying up and i really think that it could have easily been 100 pages shorter.

This book is typical pnr. Hot sexy guy, tough, independent, beautiful girl who of course is a virgin, insta love, and lots of man saving woman. The author has tried to make it stand out from the massive PNR crowd by going with Greek characters and incorporating

The book starts off with a good amount of action. But I couldn’t help but feel the over abundance of Greek profanity used by Charissa, not only took away from the plot but also prevented the reader from fully submerging within the story. As I’m reading the first chapter, I felt like I was constantly stopping and wondering what a word meant. The authors word choice in general is at times interesting but mostly I found it

I tried, but sadly could not get into this one.

Between the Greek curses (which don't come up when tapped on Kindle) and the sometimes strange word choices, the story just doesn't flow.

Maybe someone with a more profound vocabulary and some knowledge of Greek would enjoy this, but there's nothing in what I read that makes me want to struggle through this.

I am a tough cookie when it comes to Paranormal, especially the Romance section. I've read plenty and more, thus, whilst I can't claim to have "seen it all", I can state that I have had my share of "same old same old" reading experiences that have let me down quite a bit.
