Okay I have a lot to say.
First of all, this book is super cute and adorable, and it made me giggle a lot. And blush. And laugh out loud too.

And *sigh* Can we talk about Arash?!!! Arash is one of very few diverse YA male characters. He is Persian and that, to me, earns him and the author a lot of cookie points! *hearty eyes*
Also, he wears glasses... Need I say more? Yes? Mmm, he's super sweet, attentive, and respectful!

Dorothy is quite relatable and a lovable character. I really liked her. I

I loved all the characters even the small characters. It was very easy to connect with the characters and it felt as if I was there with them. The plot was so good and it's the perfect summer read along with the romance at the end. Absolutely loved it thanks again Kathryn Berla I'll be looking out for more nov ...more

12 Hours in Paradise by Kathryn Berla a fun filled four-star read. This is the first book by this author I have read, it was a sweet and funny young adult read. Its mostly set over 12 hours, it tells the story of a young couple who meet and spend 12 hours together falling in love. It could have been rushed and felt to short, but it didn’t Kathryn Berla sets the scene and makes you feel that you are I Hawaii with the young couple who are just starting their journey into finding love.

"In a way, his humor had become my lifeline. My way to cope with the strong attachment to him I was already beginning to feel. My way to not be serious and think I loved him before I really loved him."

“My parents often remind me that my whole life is ahead of me. There’ve been more times than I can remember when I’ve felt it was already behind me. But one day not too long ago, from the time the sun set to when it rose again, my entire life was contained within twelve precious hours. Reflected back at me through a boy’s eyes. Sampled by his lips. Held tightly in his arms.”

12 Hours in Paradise s a fun, light-hearted and enthralling story by Kathryn Berla. This is a very sweet YA Book. Ms

This is a Young Adult contemporary. The story is about Dorothy and Arash (the bright arrow) who were strangers in Hawaii. So they met on a day before Dorothy was about to go back on her town in Nevada. But later that night, Arash convinced Dorothy to spend time with him and go on an Adventure. The adventure includes wearing matching outfits, singing their hearts out, discovering the streets and beautiful spots in Waikiki, and the 36 Questions which guaranteed love at the end.

12 Hours In Paradise by Kathryn Berla is a four star read

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have really enjoyed it. Even though at first I found it hard to connect with the book I soon found I was getting along better with it by chapter 3. It has lots of surprises, twists and turns and constantly keeps you guessing what is going to happen which I like. The characters were extremely well done and relatable. I really enjoyed this book and would love to read this one over and o

Netgalley copy in exchange for an honest review.

Dorothy is in holiday in Hawaii, and this is her last days. She meets a young man called Arash, and they hit it off instantly.

An adventure is on its way.

They have 12 hours left to spend together, all through the night, and 36 questions to answer. According to studies, by the end of these questions, true love is guaranteed, and they want to put their new found friendship to the test.

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book (via XpressoBookTours) in exchange for honest review.

What starts off as a good deed becomes a kindled new friendship. For me, there is nothing quite like a sweet budding romance. A CLEAN romance for that matter.

Dorothy is on vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii, with her family. What better way to meet new people than to have your younger brother embarrass the crap out of you in public. Honestly, I would have felt the same way if my brothers began to say thi

I liked this book but I didn't love it. I liked Dorothy and I thought that both of the character's stories were very interesting especially since they weren't romanticised; their stories seemed authentic and real. The only thing I didn't like about the book is the ease with which Dorothy and Arash fall in love; it seems strange Dorothy would just wander off with a stranger in the middle of the night even if he was hot. Kathy Berla's second novel is a charming story of self-discovery, romance and adventure, all in twelve hours. The setting is beautiful, the characters smart, sweet and funny with depth they probably wouldn't share with anyone else (or even each other, in different circumstances). I loved the bubble ballet and legend of the zombie surfer and the shy flirting, such as when Dorothy lifts her skirt to show Arash one of her scars. The sensitivity to their families and the world at large, exemplified ...more

This was a cute books guys, it really was. It was just too rushed for my fancy. I mean, of course it was rushed it was 12 hours but it just didn't stick with me in the way I'd hope it would've. I did enjoy this reading experience as it was a very quick and easy read. There were a few mistakes, as expected in an ARC, I assume they were fixed in the published edition.

12 Hours in Paradise is a sweet, fast-paced story that will leave you satisfied, but still wanting more. (This seems to be a trend with this author's work for me. I don't want the story to end!) With the rich location, interesting side characters, and a plot that'll keep you hooked, it's a perfect summer read.

And Arash is pretty book boyfriend worthy, so that's a plus. ;)

12 Hours in Paradise by Kathryn Berla is a Young Adult story that is a sweet, cute story about young love. This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that go from compassion to giggling. The one thing that I really enjoyed about this story is how the author was able to create characters that pop of the pages and right into reality. The authors ability to create a story that captures teenage love is enjoyable. Her development of these characters are thoughtful but yet c ...more

12 hours in Paradise is a standalone YA novel by Kathryn Berla. This book was such a lovely read, completely different to anything I have read before. It was actually nice to read about two young people getting to know each other in a fun yet innocent way - a simple touch here and a sneaky kiss there and all in the beautiful setting of Hawaii. I really felt like I was travelling around with them. The author described the setting beautifully. With the story being set over such a short time

Well, first of all.. I felt a pang of guilt because I nearly put this down. I'll be straight to the point. The middle pages bores me and I'm like, "What the hell? Why is it so easy for her to go with a stranger she just met a few hours ago to wander the beach in the middle of the night?" Ok, we're there. He's handsome and damn hot I know, but that doesn't enough reason to hang out with a stranger especially if you're just a tourist in a foreign place. But of course, who am I to judge the book? “An adventure doesn’t require a lot of time, all it requires is your total commitment” Arash

I blindly one clicked this book when it was a freebie. This book started out as a sweet teenage romance and I kept waiting for vampires to appear or for them to grow up and meet on a reality show or something (I read wayyyy too much). I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it stays on a smooth steady pace that spans 12 hours of 2 young people’s lives.
