Mental illness was no stranger in Tom Roberts’ lineage. Tom, at an early age, was exposed to domestic abuse, substance abuse, and suicides.

During Tom’s childhood, he had a circle of friends and did the typical boy mischievous things. Anger slowly rose to its ugly head with the repeated physical abuse by his father. Symptoms of his bipolar disorder didn’t arise until high school; the death of his mother being the trigger.
