Excusing the authors' too-favorable estimation of historiography and higher criticism and unfavorable presentation of Protestant Orthodoxy, I found Hayes and Prussners survey of the history of Old Testament theology fairly useful.

While I don't agree with the authors' presuppositions, it was a useful overview of key theologians in the development of OT theology.
