What a story. If this book does not keep you up reading, you just don't like reading. Period. Murder, suspense and a romance in the making. I don't know what more you can ask for. McKeehan has mastered the spin of storytelling. I am anxious to read the rest of this trilogy!
So horrible that I probably would never have started it had I known...a damn cliffhanger. I was wondering, it didn't look like there was enough room left to wind up all the loose ends, and there wasn't. I am annoyed.
Blurb: What would you do if your family went missing?
Three brothers, Jackson, Mitch, and Garret Indigo are summoned back home to tiny Indigo Key by their mother. Their sister has gone missing along with her husband and two kids. Good beginning to the new trilogy - suspense, romance, mystery. Definitely not a stand alone book - the love story of this part of the trilogy gets wrapped up, but you'll want to read the next two books to continue the story. I recommend this new trilogy!
I really enjoyed this book! I love reading books that are part of a series, and I am assuming that since we do not have all the answers at the end of Indigo Fire, we will continue to uncover clues until we finally reach the resolution in Indigo Justice.
I love the characters in this book and am also assuming that since the first book in the series focused on Jackson, the next one will focus on either Mitch or Garret. I also would like to compliment Ms. McKeehan on her tasteful rendition of love scenes in the book. Frankly, I am of the opinion that less is more in these situations!
Ms. McKeehan also has a knack for describing the family dynamic and the interplay between family members. She also develops the characters quite well and leaves some characters only on the fringes allowing her readers to use their imaginations to discover what might happen next. Case in point--Nathan has been brought to the forefront as we all wonder whether he and Livvy were having an affair or not. I enjoy reading mysteries and am very curious as to where this story will go in the second book, Indigo Heat.
If you also enjoy mysteries with some heart and a little romance thrown in for added spice, then I recommend this book! I've already downloaded Indigo Heat and will continue the story there. My curiosity bone is tingling!!!
Lenore and Tanner Indiigo called their 3 kids to the Florida Keys , a small town called after their name, Indigo. Livvy and her husband, Walker, had been unaccounted for, which meant her two kids, Blake and Ally were too. Jackson Indigo was on his way after a nerve-wracking trip worrying about his sister Olivia, and her family that were missing. His 2 brothers , Mitch and Garret, were on their way too.
The Indigo brothers organized a Search Party to find out that another man was missing too for 3 wks. His sister, Tessa, asked for her missing brother to be included. Sorrow reigned to both families, as no sign of any kind was found. Tessa while out searching found a big mansion, and as she drew closer overheard a conversation of Sherriff Sinclair and Walker's father with 4 other wealthy Indigo men, discussing their plan.
A moving mystery combined with a touch of romance keeps you turning every page. Waiting patiently to find out who and why someone would want to hurt this family, and not knowing where they were hidden, keeps you terrified. Great mystery.
The Indigo family is altogether again. And not for the best reason. Her husband, children and herself have all gone missing. Her three brothers halted what they were doing. To come home to find her. The closer the get to the truth the more dangerous things get. Another woman's brother who did some work for Walker. Was missing missing. His sister came to find him. He turned up dead in the swamplands. I enjoyed this first book. Twist and turns in every chapter. Enjoy! I know I am.
The three Indigo brothers were called home when their sister, her husband and two kids went missing. There is a cover up from some of the town's most active personel Yes was brother went missing in the same town going to see one of the indicia son in law who is now missing. She meets Jackson Indigo and the chemistry begins. Great story Characters seem real and the town is hiding something..Give it a go!
What a great book. I loved it and have already started on the second one.
Three brothers are called back home because their only sister has come up missing. From the very beginning we, as readers know that she and her husband has been murdered, but of course the family doesn't. This is a book full of murder, romance and a lot of suspects. A book that was really good. I wanted to be reading all the time.
Wow an exciting book with so many outstanding characters. The Indigo Brothers their parents what a team. Will be reading the other books in the trilogy. Who killed their sister her two innocent children and her husband and how did Ryan fit into this terrible murder
Indigo Fire burns with desire, death, and destruction of a family while the brothers search for the murderers! Set in a sleepy, sun filled town, Livy, her husband, and two children mysteriously disappear from their home rallying the family and her brothers to uncover the truth about their disappearance!
I enjoy stories that have likeable characters, an interesting storyline and some intrigue. The Indigo family comes together during a crisis and work together to attempt to solve the mystery. This is the first of a trilogy so the crisis isn't solved in this book. I'm ready to read on!
A well written thriller, romance. The opening scene is gruesome and the murder of five people is never explained in this first volume of the trilogy. You will need to read all three books it seems. The romance theme threads through the story and is building into a longterm . Opening teaser for book two is as gruesome as book one.
The characters are well-developed and extremely likable. You are caught up in their story very quickly and you wish good things for them, although that is not to be. The mysteries are not solved in this book, but leave you wanting more. I recommend that you buy all 3 books at once.
I am an avid mystery reader but this one was o e of the best. It held my interest from the first page to the last. I was disappointed when it didn't tell me who the Miller was and where the bodies were. Now I need to read book 2 to find out!
This book is intriguing right from the start. It keeps you wondering who done it in the mystery of the murders. You'll need to read the next book to find out more because this one keeps you longing for more.
This book fires one tragedy after another, but still manages to take the edge off with the family camaraderie and the love lives of the three brothers and their women. The women are strong and the men are lovable. Great characters.
New to me author and really enjoyed this first of the Indigo Brothers Trilogy. Held my interest from the start and plenty of twists and turns. Looking forward to buying and reading book 2 & 3.
Great story, got involved in the characters right from the start. Didn’t like how the story just ended, but then realized it was a trilogy, so on to book 2.
I didn't want to put it down! The mystery still remains so I'll have to read the next in theseries right away. It would have been nice to have the ending in this novel rather than needing to read the next one.
I read the pelican pointe series first and I fell so in love with the storyline and Vickie. I had to read the rest of her books and I’m so very glad I chose to! I couldn’t put this book down til it was finished
