Brandon Clark, a young lawyer who was supported by wife, Jennifer, through law school, is finally making good money after two years at the firm. Now that he is financially stable, he takes his wife to Vegas, giving her the nice wedding they both had dreamed of, and surprises her with a new dream.
Well, with wealth and fame, comes ego and bitches. Brandon quickly gets caught up; messing with his wife's best friend and other women who cross his path as he begins to rise to fame. Before he knows it, his wife, her best friend—who is also his mistress, and his nineteen-year-old girlfriend all get pregnant…at the same time.
All things done in the dark, eventually come to light, and Jennifer finds out about her husband’s double life. The revelation comes at a time when both Brandon and Jennifer are beginning to cope with a spiritual experience that promises to change Brandon, and the life he is leading. In evaluating his double lifestyle, Brandon’s conscious is killing him. He knows that the life he is leading is not reflective of the man he really is.
Drugs, sex, ego, fitness, tattoos and desires of the flesh all collide when lips meet in an Unlawful Kiss.
I will say the storyline had potential. Things happen very quickly. One paragraph they are home the next they are in the gym (someone is always in the gym). Adonis cheats constantly. Every last women is just shockingly stupid. I’m still trying to figure out the point of bringing in the house of the lord when in the end the readers find out there was no lesson learned. The ending was extremely irritating because here’s the worse kind of man who wins in the end practically becoming a millionaire. Yes, not all books end the way a reader wants them to but this was a miss opportunity. I think it’s great seeing male authors. In fact I love reading work from male authors (a lot of women do) because it lets you inside the male species psyche lol. I believe if Mr.Steele takes his time, put more of a filler in his story and really think about what he want the readers to take away from his work he will do great.
Well if you live by a certain standard and get caught up in that standard you will face consequences. Fame, money, attractive lifestyle comes with the game. If you were never taught what a real man is and how a real man lives then you will be open to Sex, drugs, and rock and roll at any costs. Mimi's parents told her that Adonis was not the man for her life. Love knows no bounds. Fast-paced, suspenseful, exciting cliff hanger. Storyline leaves us hanging. Adonis thought he was a god and started living his life as if he wasn't married. All the lies, deceit, sneaking around, and pregnancies still didn't change him. God himself had to work on his heart. Repenting and getting one's life in order takes work, but a sequel is needed because more drama is to come. Oh boy!
Loved the characters.... Kept my internet from page 1 until the end. When is part 2 coming? I wanna kick Issa and Adonis's azz for continuing the affair after they were forgiving by MiMi by Review provided courtesy of UniqueWord, LLC
What in the Sister Wife have your Cake and eat it too did I just read. Adonis Should get a taste of his own medicine so we can see what his reaction would be. I'm ready for the next book because this book needs help. This book was recommended by UniqueWord Llc.
Adonis, a successful lawyer turned actor and his wife Mimi, a nurse and devoted wife have been married for several years. As Adonis' career takes off so does his ego. With more money comes women, ego and pride and he falls headfirst into those trappings of the "newly" rich and famous. I liked the plot. I liked the outline of the characters. This had the potential to be a good story. However, what was presented felt like the draft copy of the story. Multiple grammatical errors, no transitions, incoherent dialogue and overall chaotic execution of the story.
I would love to see this story edited, formatted properly and re-released. I'm almost positive that this work is not indicative of the author's talent.
