If he could really see the future . . .

Logan Sinclair is nothing but a fraud. Or at least that's what Inspector Andie Darling, undercover on the streets of San Francisco, is determined to prove. Sure, the sexy Scotsman may say he's a clairvoyant, but Andie's never believed in second sight—or love at first sight. So why does his sweet talk turn her into a lovestruck fool?

This is another example of blurb-writer never reading the book. Because according to those few lines on the back cover this was supposed to be a gripping, hot and sexy, suspenseful book.
It was none of the above.

I found myself skimming the pages more and more toward the end. Though the hero was a hottie (and Scottish to boot, what more can a gal want?) the chemistry between him and his heroine was non-existent (it was only due to a couple of randy ghosts that they even graced the sheets). And I w

If I could, I'd give the book 3.5 stars...
Marianne Stillings writes contemporary romances with a sassy, feel-good kick. Her latest, "Killer Charms" is about a female cop assigned to go undercover and con a conman. But it only takes a few days before the cop realizes there's something 'special' about this conman and something wrong with her boss instead. Then, there's the dreams she's been having lately about a woman who lived 100 years ago...

I enjoyed most of the book, but it just felt 'pat' aft

I first read this as a paperback years ago and led me to five others of her books. Once I get into ebooks, I knew I had to get this. I love the story and the characters. This will always be a re-readable favourite of mine.

Of the Darling Series, this one was my least favorite. I had no connection with Andie as this is the first time you meet her in the series of books. At least with Nate and Ethan i know the dynamic going in because of their appearances in previous books. Andie was hard to connect with.

I felt like the book was a mash up of things. The ghost angle was cool and believable because of the face that the paranormal was brought up in Nate's book. What i didn't like was that that ghosts had no connection

I think this might be my favorite of the Darling siblings books (this is the 3rd in the series following Arousing Suspicions and Satisfaction). Andie was a great characters and the chemistry with Logan is sizzling!
It is a fun book that is "charming." The suspense is good, although I'm sure a lot of people can figure out the bad guys earlier than it is revealed.
I've read a few of Marianne Stillings books and so far all of them have been worth it and keep me coming back for more. They are witty a

Logan is a con-man who says he can talk to the dead.

Andie is a cop who wants to bust him so she goes undercover.

The relationship between the two is interesting. Then some ghosts get involved. And a very old murder is solved.

Interesting if you like the ghost angle.

This one is hard for me to explain. I really liked the idea of the book, and I really liked both the heroine & hero, but I did not like them together. I'm not sure why but it felt forced, and I didn't feel in chemistry. ...more

Marianne entered the world in the usual way, eleven days before Christmas way back in Nineteen, uh, something. The first child born to a Santa Barbara, California heating and sheet metal contractor and a former “Rosie” (as in WWII airplane riveter), Marianne was named after a character in a book. Hmm. Auspicious? A harbinger, foreshadowing things to come?
Superfluous fact: Marianne doesn't have a
