HE was the chief’s cousin…

Namoriee knew the only way to protect herself against the blond-haired gentle giant was to stay away. The way her heart pounded and her insides fluttered when he was near could only lead to disaster.

Two years ago he made a promise to her that she never thought he intended to keep.

She was wrong.

SHE was the handmaiden…

Tyronian wanted Namoriee even

The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Wickedly dark, delicious, dangerous . . . Tyronian knew his heart. He knew that one woman would make him better in every way. He knew he had to wait for that woman to grow. He gave her time. He promised that time and now it’s up. Watch out Namoriee. He is coming. He is coming full force. To have the love, dedication, protection and more from one man. That could be a lot for a woman to handle. Especially one so young and innocent as Namoriee.

I wanted to make sure that I did not miss anything of

I have to admit I struggled with this book. It wasn’t a historical that I was interested in, I think that may have been the downslide for me.

The hero was way over the top ALPHA (IMO) and dominate.

Fierce tribes and really fierce, brutish love from the warrior men towards their often unwilling brides.

I've waited ages for the second novel from this author, but it was worth it. Tyronian and Namoriee are linked by tempestuous passion. He marked her to be his since he saw her first when she was young, but his soothing temper allowed him to wait for her to mature before he claimed her fully.

If you're into sweet, yet obsessively possessive alpha males, this one covers all checks. Check for stren

I didn't like this book, though I remember I loved the first book, in this year I have matured. Now, I don't like anymore reading about a way over-dominant man who treats the girl like she's a little girl.
I didn't like reading that he kept telling her what to do or with whom she could stay.
No thanks.
The only thing I liked is that Namoriee became more independent throughout the story, but it ends there.

DNF @79%.

I tried to finish this but was really turned off by the characters and story. The h had a wonderful husband that loved her but she wouldn't accept the relationship. Also the h from the first book was still having bad things happen to her. It was so sad. This series is depressing!

How The Warrior Claimed is the second book in the Falling Warriors series by Nicole René.

Tyronian, cousin to the chief of his tribe has known Namoriee since she was a toddler, and he's known since she was 16 that she would be his woman.

Namoriee is just a poor girl, in her mind a girl of no consequence. She doesn't believe she is good enough for a man like Tyronian, and I think perhaps she is a little scared of him. She says she will never be his. He gives her two summers to get used to the idea

Namoriee is willing to admit she’s afraid. At times she seems to be a little timid but her past may hold answers as to why. Tyronian knows whom he wants to share his life with. Xavier seems to be a force to be reckoned with. If you want to know his story you will need to check out the first book titled How The Warrior Fell.

Their world shows that there are men that think they can treat women any way they choose and damn what anyone else thinks. I’m glad we’ve at least gotten somewhat better but

This warrior’s heart was already claimed - all he needed was her

I received an Advance Reader Copy for How The Warrior Claimed (Falling Warriors Book #2) written by Nicole René and voluntarily reviewed this book. Tyronian knows exactly who he wants to claim as his wife already, but she is too young yet. The honorable side of this fierce warrior had him staking his claim on his Namoriee before all their people to see that the little handmaiden will be his when she

A sexy warrior solely devoted to one woman? Yes please! That's exactly what you get with How The Warrior Claimed. Tyronian has known Namoriee was his for years. At first she was too young, so he patiently waited while guarding over her until she was old enough to be wed. Namoriee is a shy and sometimes insecure young woman, but she still has a bit of steel in her spine and is fiercely independent. She wants to resist Tyronian, not because of him, but because she feels she's not good enough. But ...more

Well, it’s been 24 hours since I finished this book, and it’s all I’ve thought about all day. I’m agonizing over it though, because while I absolutely loved it, it also crushed me. The nature of extreme passion is filled with soaring highs and plummeting falls, but I must admit I was unprepared for my feelings to be as strong as (if not stronger than) the characters’ reactions in this story.

I loved witnessing Namoriee and Tyronian’s romance, but I did feel the heartbreak and rapturous resolutio

Tyronian know what he wants, and he gets what he wants. Right now, he wants Namoriee. However, he also wants what is best for her, so he gives her a couple of years to adjust herself to what is going to be. Namoriee believes that the time will cause him to change his mind. But when the time comes, Tyronian Claims her as one would expect a true Warrior would. Namoriee must accept that Tyronian is hers as much as she is his. Not so easy with such a dominating force!

Nicole has done it again with another scorching hot read! Don't get me wrong Xavier is hot in book one but Tyronnian is MY type of alpha male. He has his me man you woman moments but he is also very sweet and caring. A mix of both worlds you can say. Namoriee is an interesting character. She doesn't quite know who she is so it causes underlying conflict for her. When you read the story you want them to work out so badly. In the end this was a great read and yes you can read it as a stand a lone, ...more

I personally love historical romance. Dark historical romance....yes please! I actually liked this book. It was raw dark and engaging. The reason I gave it 3 stars was because it was a little too raw and dark. I know I know...I just said I liked raw and dark. I just was a little turned off by how raw and dark. Maybe I just wasn't prepared for it.
All in all it was a good book It just wasn't great for me.

Eeep!!! HOW THE WARRIOR CLAIMED, a dark historical romance chock full of thrilling excitement, soul-burning obsession, blistering emotional intensity and torrid passion, was one E.P.I.C adventure!!! This is my first book by the extraordinarily gifted Nicole René and it WILL.NOT. BE. THE. LAST!

This book was really good! I read it in one day and couldn't put it down. Tyronian was really sweet and super alpha which was hot! Namoreii was a bit annoying for awhile. Overall a good read though!

Love it!

I have been with this series since it started out on Wattpad.... It is truly amazing.... The love stories are epic, and I love how it's a love story that takes a lot.. I love that everything is not rainbows and lollipops from the jump... I love that there is pain, heartbreak, and more before the love comes along... It's great.

I think I just got pregnant from reading this book! Nicole has done it again with How the Warrior Claimed!
Hot,brilliantly written I couldn't put my Kindle down!
Tyronian has wanted Namoriee since the first time he laid eyes on her, and is determined to make her his, and has made it known. Her body wants him, but she refuses to give him her heart. She runs and avoids him at every turn until it's no longer an option. Tyronian will claim her body, but can he claim her heart? W

Tyronian + Namoriee... Tyronian was amazing. I get why Namoriee was struggling so much but I stopped caring around chapter 10.

How The Warrior Claimed is book 2 in the Falling Warriors series, although it can be read as a standalone, the main characters from the first book feature prominently in this one, so I think it might be best if you read it in order.

If you've read my reviews, you know that I love historical romances. However, the ones I usually read are set in or around the Regency period. This has been the first one set so much further back in history and it was quite educational.

"Tyronian wanted Namoriee from the he saw her. He knew she needed to grow up so he gave her two years and then he would claim her.

Namoriee returns the lust, but feels unworthy of Tyronian due to the fact that she is just a slave and he is a Warrior.

This was a great read with a hot Alpha male who was also sweet and caring. Namoriee had to face her internal battle of who she is and whether she is worthy to be his. This is the first story I have read by Nicole Rene and I am definitely going to read

Take one brutal warrior who is totally devoted to one shy insecure girl, add years of him waiting to claim her and you know that when he finally does, it will be one fierce claiming.

From the moment Tyronian sees Namoriee, she claims his heart and he knows that one day she will become his in every sense of the word.
Namoriee on the other hand doesn't believe she is good enough for Tyronian and fights the attraction she feel for him. While Tyronian waits for Namoriee to mature, he watches over her

In this second book, we get a chance to follow Namoriee's adventures and punishments, trials and tribulations. We also focus more on Tyronian and his obsession of her. Finding out more about Namoriee's life and how she feels about it and what she feels her life should be like as well as her position in it tells me she is seriously underestimating herself. I understand now more of the things that I read in the first book, How the Warrior Fell. Many things start to make sense that seemed a little ...more

Intense. Dominant. Erotic.

When I first started reading How the Warrior Claimed, I was not sure about it. The names sounded a little sci-fi to me (and I don’t like sci-fi). However, was I in for a surprise. This story was intense while being romantic. There is just enough action, some back history, and romance that I was unable to put the book down. The main character, Tyronian, is a dominant male that knows who he wants and is willing to wait for it. He had extreme patience. Naimoree had been h

This is the second book in the series. I haven’t read the first one and wasn’t confused so they can be read as standalone books. Namoriee has lead a hard life. She is the Lady Chief’s handmaiden. Tyronian warned Namoriee that she would be his but that he would give her two winters. That time is now. She thought that maybe he wouldn’t come for her but he did. She doesn’t believe she is worthy of him. As much as she doesn’t want to want him she does. He makes her feel like no man ever. When Tyroni ...more

How the Warrior Claimed

Book 2..I was very impressed with her 1st book, and am just as impressed with this one. Ms Rene' had the time line a little mixed up in a couple of places but in the end it worked out fine. Being an in-depth reader I tend to notice some things, but these little things weren't glaring and didn't take away from the story. It was a book as she described, a dark romantic novel set in times that were exactly as portrayed. She has written a book that needs to be read, but above

He protected her without her knowing it. He staked his claim without her knowing it.
And how he is going to claim her.

Namoriee is nothing more than a maid to the chief's wife, at least in her eyes. She doesn't even know who she is. When Tyronian stakes his claim on her, she is fearful, yet hopeful.

Tyronian has waited two long years for Namoriee to come to age. It's time, time for him to claim her. Time for him to make her his forever. She is reluctant at first. But nothing will keep him from hav
