Everything culminates in this volume. Our group is flung from dimension to dimension and must find their way home. Story was OK, but this book has some of the worst coloring I've ever seen. Too many light sources in each panel.

Received an advance copy from Magnetic Press and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

'The Adventures of Basil and Moebius, Volume 4: The Fate of All Fools' by Ryan Schifrin and Richard Lee Byers is the last volume in the series.

In earlier volumes, Basil and Moebius were shown to be thieves that ended up working for The Collector. In the last volume, The Collector is revealed to be an alien being. This time around, all the stops have been taken off. Basil and Moebius and company (awesome fighting girlfriend, giant robot that might have Merlin inside, and two Aztec miniature fight

Two years down the line from meeting these characters for the first time, I still don't find much to rate them from this, the other end of their adventure. A two-man LXG, here they go through no end of portals from some ancient character's time-and-space machine, and it's all just incredibly meh. It's a little bit Lovecraft, and a bit steampunk, and nothing terribly new or inventive, and if the characters are supposed to be charming and warm, well, they're not.

Our dashing heroes meet up with the Collector again

In this fourth volume of the adventures of Basil & Moebius, two adventurers, they find themselves involved along with their Mossad partner in the Collector's world. All sorts of supernatural creatures appear which our heroes have to confront, usually with violence, as they try to find their way home.

Colourful and well-illustrated, this works quite well and there looks as if there'll be more volumes to come.

Having enjoyed a previous edition of the adventures of these characters, like something to the left of Indiana Jones or Lara Croft, I was looking forward to this.
Don’t know what’s worse: traveling back in time and arriving at an Inca sacrifice, or landing in another dimension that looks too barren for anyone to live. They get to find out.
Of course Basil’s still the ladies’ man, mostly because he pays well. Moebius is a lot more arrogant than I remember. Even worse is when Basil becomes Captain O

Basil and Moebius are back in what may be their final adventure. In a fitting end, the duo go on one last whirlwind adventure with The Collector, their otherworldly master and benefactor. Jumping from one dimension to the next, they seek to evade The Collector’s enemies and return safely home - a task far more challenging and death defying than expected. As always, wherever these pulp heroes go there are plenty of quips, humor, monsters and explosions. Never underestimate just how much chaos and ...more

Basil and Moebius are free of the Collector at last! But they have a bequest from the estate of the Collector. After surviving the reception committee, Basil, Moebius, and Sophia run into the Collector and join him in a dimensional hopping adventure that turns into a quest for strange artifacts to power the machine. Finally Basil and Moebius manage to get home, but now they need to rescue Sophia from the dimensional void and the clutches of the Collector!
