Shea is a woman in love with the idea of love so it’s no wonder she writes Romance Novels. The East Coast native is a romantic to her core and reads and watches anything with a love story. She especially likes binge watching Romance TV around Christmas time.
She enjoys meeting people and chatting, collecting Barbie dolls, toys, anime, and is addicted to The Sims games. Shea also loves music and has mentioned that she writes better when she has music playing as white noise in the background.
This exciting author writes Adult Romance in the sub-genres of Contemporary, New Adult, Paranormal, Sci-Fi, and Erotica.

My first book by Shea and she writes fluidly. Very sweet, very short , very straightforward read. I loved Nisa and Trenton, but most if all I loved Derek. Nisa is very close to her family , esp her brother Derek , so losing him in an accident damages her heart. It's like he met with an accident and she died instead. Her heart is so full of anger and angst for Derek and his untimely death , that she refuses to see anybody else's travails . She falls for Trenton but his secret blows her away, in a way it jolts her awake too. all in all a good story. I wish she'd had developed the characters and story a little more and added complexities, twists or turns.
This is the first book that I have read by Shea Swain and I am ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY!!!! This book has pulled every major emotion out of me. I LOVE Trenton and Nisa!!! This love story is beautifully written and tells a tale that I will not forget!! The characters are well written with so much personality I felt like I was reading people that I actually knew - they were real!!
Nisa has suffered the ultimate loss and does not know how to put her life back together. Trenton feels responsible for her pain and wants to punish himself. These two wounded souls need some help to help heal themselves. The way that Shea Swain brings these two broken souls full-circle is truly amazing!!
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing read that will leave them breathless by the end of the book!!! I know that you will fall in love with Shea Swain's books.
I enjoyed this short story filled with tragedy and redemption. Nisa and her little brother Derek shared a special bond until one horrible tragedy changed it all. Little did she know that out of pain would come the love she so desired. I love how Derek's "superheroes" were brought together through his downfall.
This was a heart-wrenching story that turned into a HEA. Unlike a lot of short stories I have read recently, this one tells a complete story and does not leave the reader lost and needing more.
This was a short and well written story only there are few steps missing. This is a story dealing with a huge loss and the effects it has on the people involved. The writer manages to bring you into a emotional story but leaves you suspended.Overall this a good story that was entertaining.
This was so fast and very confusing as there was no full explanation regarding Trent... Then they finally did it and then puff all is forgiven. I have not read something like that ever, so I am so confused now that I do not know what to say...
I’m a fan of Ms. Swain but I wasn’t really into this book. A lot of internal conflicts with the main characters. All could have been fixed if both communicated what they really wanted from each other.
We all know the loss of a loved one and we all grieve differently. I can’t fault Nisa for how she handled her grief but I’m so glad her father finally said something to her. The kiss at the restaurant bothered me too. Nisa was so self absorbed. The fact that she plays this game with Trent by not answering his question, kissing him, walking off and then not hearing from her caused him to spiral out of control. I’m not a fan of Nisa. 🤷🏾♀️
The story ended about 70% into the book. A quick, sweet read.
This is my review and how I see it. In Absolve, author Shea Swain in this story about forgiveness from one character to other. Nisa lost her beloved brother to injuries he sustained in a freak accident. She became bitter and unapproachable to her family until one day she received a call that will place on her in the life of the man who inadvertently was party to the accident. Will Nisa be able to resist her attraction to Trenton and move on with him or will her bitterness rule out? To find out you should read this book which I found intriguing and had to finish before the day was done.
Alright! This is my first read of any of Shea’s books. I think I have a new favorite author. This tale was written and tugged on my heart strings. The beginning gave me a bit of a mysterious feel and soon I was all in for the love of Trent and Nisa. What was kind of an instant romance didn’t really seem that way. Trent has already loved her for a long time and it was almost as if Derek picked him for her. I wish there was more to their story instead of skipping to the happy everafter, but either way, I enjoyed this novella.
Nisa was a loving sister to Derek. Derek was involved in a horrific accident that ended up taking his life several years after the fact. Trent was a friend of Derek. When Derek died he left a gift for Trent. Nisa gave the gift to Trent, not knowing who he really was or how he was involved with her brother. Read this book in one setting. I loved it and definitely recommend that you read it too.
This was my first book by Shwa Swain. "Absolve" was an excellent short read about loss, anger, grief and forgiveness. I look forward to many more works by this author!
It's a great thing when one can see past their mistakes. Even a greater thing when they can own up to them. I'm glad the heroine was able to especially where her parents were concerned. A pretty good story
This was a quick romance - I'm not big into romance but I'm trying to break out of my normal genres. It was a solid read that held my attention until the end. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a quick romance. It does have some steamy scenes - but not too many.
This short story, told in present day and flashbacks, shows that forgiveness and redemption or possible between two people. Nisa and Trent are linked by a tragic accident, but find forgiveness and living again when they finally meet and get to know one another.
This story held my attention from beginning to end. The characters were relatable and loveable. Although sometimes sad, there was a lesson for all of us to learn about forgiveness. An enjoyable read.
This was well done in such a short story. I loved the intertwining of the grief process and how it is different for every one. Derek was a little boy that I would have loved. I understand her grief, but her absolute blindness to others pain was hard to watch. The redeeming love of a child. Trent and our heroine were perfectly broken yet whole together because of their ever lasting love of Derek. Loved the ending. Well done Ms. Swain, well done.
I was given an ARC for an honest review and totally appreciate Shea for that. This is my first book written by her and it was an absolutely wonderful short story with sadness, romance & of course some hot action going on.
It all started when Nisandra Dithers' brother, Derek, was involved in a terrible accident. I wasn't expecting it, so it blew me away when I was reading what happened. My eyes welled up with tears at the shocking moment. Then she met a man named Trenton Gale, who would happen to be the very person to change her life. You see, ever since Derek's accident, Nisa shut down. She just lived to take care of her brother. There was no fun in her life. No going out to party and no love life. That all changed the day she had to drop a package off at Trenton's. She had no idea what she would be hit with.
I loved the connection between Nisa and Trent. She didn't want to feel it but couldn't help the pull. She walked away from him once, but it was for all the wrong reasons and she needed someone to force her to see that she was wrong. In the end, I was smiling hard. Totally loved it!
If you're looking for a short sweet, romantic story, check out this one. I bet it will make you smile hard too.
It was cute but too short and rushed. I’m not sure why the author decided to make this a short story when there is so much ground to cover with the characters and the history. Maybe if Nisa and Trenton had already previously met it would have made more sense, since they would have already had that romantic history. But since they only met for the first time it felt weird how quickly they fell for each other: especially Trent for Nisa.
Overall not bad but definitely not the best from this author and just wish there was more. Like waaaayyy more. Hopefully in the future the author does an extended version. I would love to read that.
OK this book here is...amazing! Like seriously amazing! Opening to a family dinner, Nisandra Dithers (Nisa) is talking about college and moving away. Then a tragic accident happens. Jumping ahead six years, Nisa meets Trenton. Trenton Gale is pure hotness! Instant attraction between the two is quickly cooled after learning about the demon that haunts Trenton. Shea Swain is a new to me author but by the second chapter, she has received a new fan in me. I was blown away. Absolve grabbed my attention and never wavered. Absolve is a cover to cover excellent and must-read read.
I love the story and the expressions of grief in many forms, but I felt it could've went deeper. The end was a bit of a rushed HEA compared to her other books. It was like she was working on this one than got a new idea and couldn't figure out how to continue to the planned out end in this one. I look forward to the other books by this author and highly recommended her. If you want true emotions and not that tired gaggle of washy emotions you find in the ten cent book bin, Shea Swain is your go to.
