So the one thing that stood out to me was the beginning.

So apparently the MC has the audacity to become angry with her best friend when she sleeps with the guy the MC likes EVEN THOUGH the MC said "she didn't like him."

What? .___.

This is one of the reasons I don't understand people. If you say one thing but mean another, you are a confusing person who needs to figure out what you really mean.

So stop.

I can relate to the best friend's confusion. We are both human. We do NOT read minds! (Though I really wish we could.)

2/5 stars because the MC decides to trick the guy she likes into liking her. But she apparently was going to have sex with him as someone else. I'm a little conflicted. I mean, was she ever going to reveal herself (obviously) and why did she have to pretend? (He obviously didn't know her without the wig anyways.)

Waste of time

I don't even know what to say about this book other than it was a complete waste of my time. The story plot was too unbelievable and the book jump around without any warning more so than not. I will not be continuing this series.

The characters were unlikeable in my opinion. I'm not going to continue the series, I just wasn't invested and didn't even want to see them be happy together. The message of "I changed who I am to be with you" isn't really one that sits well with me.

Loved this book :-) I usually read paranormal romance so for me this was different, but who doesn't love a love story. Love the fact that even though fate keeps throwing them hard balls they keep being drawen back together. That is my favorite part about the book even at the start of the book she knew she loved him and then he did something stupid and she leaves the country for years, somehow fate shows up and draws them back together when she returns. Can't wait to start the next one to see what fate has in store for them.

I really did not know if I would like the book when I got it but since I love Faleena Hopkins werewolves series I promised myself I would read it all the way through. Although nothing like her other books that I had read this book was hard to put down. So any twists and turns, Annie and Brendan are meant to be together yet life keeps throwing obstacles in their way. Love seems to find a way, but this is book one of a series of three. Anxious to read Reaching for You.

I loved this story,it's one that could actually happen.Annie and Brendan were total opposites,that's why he never noticed her,that and she made her self invisible.It is a shame that people truly do judge you by your appearance.This is a timeless love story you will want to read over and over

Annie has been in love with Brendan since he first looked at her. She's a goth girl, and goes unnoticed. When the unthinkable happens, she decides to try and find out who she really is and stop hiding behind the heavy make up. Once she changes, will she be able to catch Brendan's eye and see that they're meant to be?
this does end in a cliffhanger, but it's such a good book that I need to find out what happens with all these characters

Annie drove me crazy for about half the book because she comes across as being kind of whiny. She has every right to feel betrayed by her best friend. I give her props for going away to Italy to try to find herself. When she returns, she does it to see if the feelings she thought she had towards Brendan are the real deal. When Brendan walks into the bar, he feels a pull towards Annie that he can't understand. After the shooting, he tries to rationalize his feelings towards her as something that happened to them together and that nobody else can relate to. Rebecca, Brenden's sometime fling tries to thwart the two of them together. I figured out who the shooter was before the end of the book because of a major clue involving Rebecca. The next book seems like it will be better than the first.

I am so in love with these characters. Young Love what a magical feeling or it can shatter your heart. For Annie it was love at first sight. Brendan was in a relationship so Annie loved him from afar. Until one night it all changed. With a shattered heart, betrayed by her best friend Annie runs to the other side of the world. After 5 years she returns to see if the Love she feels for Brendan is real or just a fairy tale. This Author is amazing she pulls you into this story and you just can leave and when it says THE END you just have to have more.........

Cliffhanger

This is a great read! The author does great job switching POV's I'm definitely reading on. I don't know a price tag on the boom bit. I'd sat it's worth it. Unlimited, definitely! There is so many real life instances and it is still unraveling, which I hate waiting for, but it's a good read. I'm intrigued. Happy reading

I just re-read this book since Faleena re-published it under her real name. Loved this book the first time and got caught up in the story again. The story of Annie and Brendan is dramatic and sweet at the same time. It took years for them to date and life comes up with some difficulties for them.

The plot was good but the writing was sloppy, especially in the beginning. It could use a few passes on the editing table too.
