Molly E. Lee delivers a great debut story that is about our heroine Blake Caster who has been in a relationship that went from amazing to downright toxic with Justin. Justin’s all Blake knows and she has at times taken his poor treatment as punishment for events that have happened in the past and she's simply worn down by him.

I thought the author did a fantastic job of displaying Justin and Blake’s mostly down

Edge of Chaos read like a modern-day, new adult version of Twister. You remember that movie with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt?

Those storms are no joke. Reading this story reminded me of why I love being a Canadian in Canada. No twisters!

Blake has been in an abusive relationship with her childhood friend, Justin, for so long that his vitriol is her new normal. She’s not the girl she used to be and has allowed herself to be brow-beaten, shoved aside, and disrespected. Her life lacks that special

Overall Opinion: This one is hard to rate. I was sucked in and I actually was enjoying myself, and before I knew it I was at 65% -- so that's good right? Unfortunately after I realized that I had gotten so far, it went downhill. The h was being completely stupid IMO and ruined it for me! I kept on reading even though I was getting more and more pissed at her. Here's some major spoiler examples **Don't click unless you're ok with big spoilers** (view spoiler)

OMG. What an amazing debut novel.
Take the movie Twister (1996), add in a pinch of domestic abuse and a sexy hero who saves the day...and VOILA! You Have Edge of Chaos!

What I LOVED about this book:
*The author did an amazing job at twisting together the tornado theme with Blake's emotions. "Tears finally trailed down my cheeks, the pressure of the world building around me like a supercell"
*The emotional abuse that Blake endured from Justin was VERY accurately portrayed. To

4.5 tornado power stars.

There are two powerful themes in this; one s the story of one woman - Blake's - struggles with an emotionally abusive partner and the other is Blake's obsession with meteorology and particularly storm chasing and how that brought her a fresh chance at life and love.

Someone close to me suffered emotional abuse for years. The bastard was on best behaviour when anyone else was around, but behind closed doors he was stripping away her dignity and confidence and self esteem, g

I was pumped when I saw this book. I knew I needed to read it, STAT. That's cuz I love, love, love storm chasing! No, of course I don't actually do it (can you just see my 55 year old disabled self out there running for my life, lmao), that would be entirely OTT for my scare and excitement level. When my son, Matthew was much younger (he's at the ripe old age of 17 now), he & I would watch the heck out of some crazy storm chaser shows on TV with a big bowl of popcorn bet

When I first saw a teaser for Edge of Chaos I knew I HAD to have it. I waited eagerly for more teasers and then the cover was revealed and I couldn't get my hands on the book fast enough. Luckily Molly took mercy on me and sent me an ARC. I started it that day and was hooked from the start. I immediately hated Justin. He was such a jerk to Blake. Some people might say she's weak for staying and putting up with it, but I disagree. Those kinds of relationships happen ALL the time and the person th ...more

This was such an amazing book!! I'm so glad I got it and decided to read it. Gives me a whole new appreciation for storm chasers and now I even know what a supercell is and they're beautiful. The chemistry between Blake and Dash was really well written and the whole book had me on edge with anticipation. Which is why I couldn't put the book down. I just had to keep reading, even if it means finishing if at 4:30am. That's when I know it's a really good book ;)

EDGE of CHAOS is one of those books that takes you by surprise. I knew there'd be romance, and storm-chasing. What I wasn't prepared for was the realistic execution Molly Lee brings to an abusive relationship and how Blake deals with her tie to Justin.

Blake and Justin are that couple that has been together forever. She's not completely oblivious to the fact that he treats her like crap a lot of the time, but whether it's fear or nostalgia, she doesn't know how to move on from this unhealthy rela

The Edge of Chaos is a really cool and different new adult novel. The hero in this story is a storm chaser/college student and the heroine is a meteorology student. When I discovered this, I immediately put this book on my list because I have a tendency to be a bit of a weather-geek. I have been fascinated with weather since I was a kid. And I love reading stories that feature weather in some way.

So, in this story the heroine, Blake, is in a long-term relationship with Justin. Justin is an JERK

I honestly can't believe this is Molly Lee's debut novel. If I wouldn't have already known, I would say that this would have to be her 9th or 10th publication. From the moment I picked it up, I didn't want to set it down. It was intense, and heart pounding, and I felt as if I was right there with them!
My inner self squealed for joy when I read the synopsis. I love bad weather, and as a child I loved the movie Twister. I have probably watched it 20 times. Then I find a book that includes that pl

Edge of Chaos was just simply beautifully chaotic! It was chaos in the best way possible! This book blew my expectations out of the water!! There are too many things I loved about this debut to list and not give away all of its greatness! But I can tell you the one thing I love about this book that just did it for me was the passion of the chase between the two main characters. Molly absolutely hit the mark because that's what I love about most roma

I was very blessed to have the opportunity to read this book ahead of publication. I LOVED it--the characters felt real, the plot was adventurous and compelling, and the romance kept me reading late into the night.

A great one for fans of Cora Carmack or Rebecca Yarros. You won't be disappointed!

Debut novels are my favorite. It is like finding something big on the moment of its conception, allowing you to ride the wild ride from the very beginning. It might sounds crazy but I love being on the ground zero and watching authors grow and evolve into their absolute best! Edge of Chaos is a brilliant debut novel and I can tell you, without a doubt, that Molly is going places. This story was so well written and such an original concept in the way that it approaches a few daunting issues and t ...more

If I could describe Edge of Chaos in only two words they would have to be sensational phenomenon. A deeply powerful and uniquely intense storyline coupled with astoundingly brilliant and out of this world characters brought my entire being to a standstill and instantly shattered it. What you hold in your hands is nothing short of pure genius and astonishing beauty! The ingenuity and originality of this book breathed some much needed life blood back into my heart. Edge of Chaos is author Molly E. Lee's first novel; although with her talent for grabbing a reader so strongly in the prologue this surprised me!

"There are patterns to everything, even chaos."

Blake Caster has known her boyfriend Justin since she was ten years old. He was her first everything and they have been through a lot together. But lately his mood swings and the emotional abuse is too much too handle. Diving into her passion for extreme weather and working on her degree in Met

I don't read NA often, but if the genre as a whole is anything like this book, then maybe I should start.

Edge of Chaos is a friendship first romance—one of my favorite types of love stories. Not only that, but the main character, Blake, grows tremendously throughout the course of the novel, escaping an emotionally manipulative relationship, and learning self-worth in the process of finding new love.

I found the book's depiction of the abusive relationship realistic; frequently, I found myself fr

I was fortunate to win an ARC of Edge of Chaos. Once I started I couldn't put it down. Dash quickly became one of my book boyfriends that I fell in love with. This is a story of friendship, love, heartache and survival. Blake must make tough decisions in order to begin truly living. We see her struggle and survive. I look forward to more books by Molly E. Lee!

Okay, so this book could've been better, but at the same time it wasn't, like, bad? But still, I wish it was better than it was. The rating seems too low, but it's not quite a 3-star read.

Ugh. Let me explain.

So basically it's about a girl named Blake who has been in a relationship with Justin for eight years. Justin is emotionally abusive and extremely unpleasant to read about. I mean, obviously he was supposed to be unpleasant but good lord, I wanted to reach into the book and stab

I've had this series on my radar for years and I always found reasons not to try it because of the genre.  It's really the only thing that was throwing me off.  So I decided to put it on my Roundabout Challenge for this year's new adult reads and went into it finally!

Here's the thing... I'm not the biggest new adult fan and this is very much a new adult feel novel.  The heroine is in a bad relationship and she's emotionally manipulated by her long time boyfriend.  She's made choices in her l

I won this AMAZING debut novel from Molly E. Lee in a Facebook group.  When I saw the blurb and cover, I knew that this book would be good. It was more than good it was amazing.  It’s like the movie Twister but better with a sexy hero who saves the day!

I was hooked right from the beginning.  It’s storm season and we had a big storm and flooding the night before. Oh, I forgot to mention that I love storms. I do believe that my love for storms did make the story more enjoyable, but even if you are

I was lucky enough to win an arc of this book in a giveaway. I was beyond excited when I saw that it had a backdrop of storm chasing. I really enjoyed this book up to about 60% but then it kind of just speed railed and I had to go back and see if I missed something? Blake got on my nerves after a while and hearing her constantly apologize and blame herself for everything got old REAL quick. She was a very sweet character and all but I feel her meekness was too much exaggerated and didn’t seem real.

How did Justin not have any deeming qualities?? There had to be atleast ONE. No sane girl would ever put up with that POS for 8 yea

Storm chasers along with some NA angst – Yep sign me up. I just happened upon this debut author’s first book in her Love on the Edge series about a group of college kids that chase tornado’s in Oklahoma – the blurb hooked me and now that I’ve finished I’m so happy I found it.

It’s not just about chasing tornado’s though – even though the author did a fabulous job with describing the storms, the formation of the tornado’s and the devastation they leave. At its core it’s about Blake Caster who gre

What an excellent read! I loved how the author wove weather science into this love story.

I had all the feels reading this book. Blake is such a wonderful main character. And her arc is SO well developed, not rushed at all. The author took Blake where she needed to be at just the right pace, allowing her to fully heal and move on.

And Dash. Sigh. I loved how kind and patient he was with Blake, giving her the time she needs, yet lovin
