An excellent introduction to the Earthship building principles: Recycling materials, passive heating and cooling, water catchment and filtration, ventilation, on or off grid power, and maximizing the space in the greenhouse. Includes one and two story examples. For more in depth training, one might need to take one of Michael Reynold's courses.
Everyone needs to read these books and contemplate the principles therein. We could be doing so much better in this world if people took more time to think about how to tackle problems.
Just as with the other books by Reynolds, once you understand the concept, and especially after having taken the course, this book barely offers anything new. However, it's good to see the principle of passive heating and cooling elaborated and repeated in this volume.
The author Michael Reynolds was the subject of a great documentary, Garbage Warrior. This book reflects his approach: simple, straightforward & nicely quirky.
