Disclaimer: I’m not a fan of Ashtanga yoga in particular.
It’s a good book to understand da position of main asanas if you are familiar with yoga already. I expected deep knowledge for the asanas but didn’t find it.
A decent depiction of the full ashtanga yoga sequence, but I have some real issues with some of the advice given. Don't eat green vegetables but do eat butter, sugar, and sugar candy??? In what world is this in anyone's best interest for health? I'd also like a better explanation on how yoga "tones internal organs" - WTF? I was also bothered by the poor editing - typos and improper grammar annoy me immensely!!
Great if you love and have done ashtanga yoga before. Easy guide so you can practice it at home. I'd recommend a class though before actually trying the book.
