RONNIE

He’s rude. He’s crude. He’s socially unacceptable.
Jackson Tremaine gets under my skin as easily as he gets into my pants.
He’s the prince of late night television
and he single-handedly ruins my life between commercial breaks.
That’s fine. Payback’s a b!tch, and she’s named Ronnie Fitz.

JACKSON

Ronnie thinks she knows men, but she don’t know Jack—jacksh!t, that is.
The biggest problem with Ronnie Fitz? She’s addictive.
I had the best night of my life with her, and now she decides we can only be friends?
Screw the friend-zone.
It’s the f#ck-zone or no-zone with Jackson Tremaine.

***RONNIE***
My brand new shoes bite into the back of my heels and squish my toes. I fill a paper cup with water and set it aside without ingesting so much as a sip.

Shayna takes my elbow as I pass by for the fifteenth time. “For Christ’s sake, sit down. I wasn’t nervous until you started pacing.”

I press my finger to the twitch at the corner of my left eye. “This is going to be a disaster. I know it.”

“It’ll be fine. Relax.” My best friend for the last three years fluffs my corkscrew curls around my shoulders and grasps my upper arms. “A live studio audience will be good. I promise. You’ll be so happy you did this.”

“Somehow I doubt it. Why couldn’t you have kept your mouth shut when Sam called?” Blah blah blah, that’s what she did. Info dump right into my agent’s ear, and that was the cannonball on the catapult that shot me straight to the gates of H*ll.

Shayna was the first to be invited on the show, and after she talked to Sam, I got a call too.

Shay whirls me around to face a blank wall. She holds her hand up as if she’s painting a scene. “Picture this: You’ll sell a million books, and then you can take me to Cancun. We’ll sip fruity drinks with tiny umbrellas, delivered to us on golden trays by hot cabana boys who don’t speak our language. We’ll say the rudest things and smile and still get laid at the end of the day.”

A smile pulls up the corner of my mouth even as I rub the ache between my eyebrows. “If you say so. Let’s just hope Jackson Tremaine is feeling charitable tonight.”

She sticks her tongue out. “Jackson Tremaine can go f#ck himself.”

I straighten her platinum blonde, not-quite-human-hair wig and tip her bug-eye sunglasses down enough to stare into her baby blues. “You think all men should go f#ck themselves. You know, most of them want the same things we want. To be loved. To be respected. You just have to give them a chance.”

“Every year, I offer about a hundred of them a ‘chance’. All but three have failed, and those already belonged to other women.” Shay quirks her auburn eyebrow. Good thing the shades hide the dead giveaway that she isn’t really a blonde bombshell.

A sad sigh escapes before I can catch it. “I’m so sorry, sweetie, but maybe you need to consider another career path?”

Even though her eyes are hidden again, it’s as though I hear them rolling.

“Thanks for the advice, but I make an excellent living in my current line of work.

I just knew that this book and I wouldn't get along from page one.

My brand new shoes bite into the back of my heels and squish my toes. I fill a paper cup with water and set it aside...

That is NOT a hook. It's more like a garlic necklace screaming, "warning this book is boring."

Anyhow...

Cast and Crew

MMC - arrogant walking dick bachelor and host of late night talk show.

FMC - goodie two shoes Pollyanna author of a book on how to keep a man through respect and subservient BS. Hasn't had a relationship in years. Ironic~ Believes that people are faithful if nothing is missing from their relationship.

FMC BFF - wild child sex bomb who specializes in a private investigator type business of luring and outting cheating men. Believes everyone has the propensity to cheat.

Loved the character profiles, but hated the development of the MCs.

The Bet

I love bets, and this one had all the makings of greatness...

The FMC and her BFF go on the MMC's talk show. He calls BS on her book and makes a bet that she could employ all her tactics on a guy and the BFF could still get him to cheat.

It's a great bet because if they decline, then they look like they don't believe in their own spiel. If they accept, one has to lose and look like a douche. Bet on~

Of course, the MMC has the hots for the FMC and, despite hating him, her vagina is about to trip over itself to fall on his dick.

Some Funny. Some Endearing. Some Brash Sexy.

Funny:

The bird!!! The bird and the rabbit ;)

Endearing:

The ride or die BFF:)

Brash Sexy:

"If you want to know the truth, I was thinking I'd like to find out what happens when you get my dick out of my pants. Why'd you stop? We were just getting to the good part.

Too Much Is Off

• The character voices aren't reflecting who they are supposed to be. Like what Hollywood guy says "poontang." *nose scrunch*

• I'm not a prude, but every fucking sentence doesn't need to have "pussy," a dude's junk being rearranged, and/or some crude sexual thought. It's overkill for the sake of overkill. He's crude... I get it. I love crude! I am crude! But, at the same time, it's empty and flat if there isn't something else in his mind or mouth besides sex.

• The MMC and FMC have met a handful of times. She's a Pollyanna do-good no rule breaking type chick mind you. So, the whole scene doesn't make sense for her character to begin with. Anyway, they hand fuck each other under the table for SO LONG that the other two there with them get up, screw, and come back and the MC's are still at it under the table. The other two even call them out on it several times, and they just keep right at it. An hour or so finger fucking each other? Overkill?!? Yea. It turned from hot to skeezy on a dime.

• The MMC spots a guy and he
picks him to be her guinea pig and test her book on. Lots of problems with that. A) I smell a set up a mile away. B) The FMC & MMC are lusting hard after each other. Now, how is the love book going to be tested if the FMC is fucking around with someone else and has some random guy picked out of the blue that she doesn't even have a connection or attraction to at first glance? Just saying ~ the way it was done mooted the validity of the bet.

Bottom Line

I stopped at the sample because I just wasn't feeling the guts of the story and characters. Even though it had some funny and cute moments with a bird, it just wasn't enough for me to continue onward.

READ the sample before jumping into this one.

What a fun and exciting book full of chemistry and heat. The two MC will keep you entertained from beginning to end.
Jackson Tremaine is late night TV host who gets Ronnie Fitz on his show to promote her new book – the one about how it teaches women “how to” catch and keep the man of her dreams. When Ronnie goes on Jackson’s show, she brings her best friend Shayna on the show with her and to show her theory on how all men lie , and cheat. Ronnie says that her book is going to help you get your man and keep him. OH WOW- Well Jackson is all like NOPE, I wanna make a bet with you over that. He set a bet that could prove disastrous for her and Shayna but OMG its going to be awesome watching these two go at it.
Now Jackson is very sly- he set it up to have Ronnie get on his show-there is a reason and as you read the story, it becomes clearer. He is intelligent, devious, sexy and at times has this alpha mentality. When thinking of Ronnie, she is very independent- deep down she wants love –she is a bit mistrustful –she is very intelligent and is beautiful. These two are a combo team and the excitement is fantastic.
Jackson and Ronnie end up having this passionate and sensual night in bed. Jackson thinks that he is done and Ronnie cant believe she ended up in bed- both parties think their lust is done but what happens when one night turns into something more?
This is a great lust story that turned into something more. I loved the humor and the passion and the flow. The MC gave as good as they gave and then some. I really enjoyed the supporting characters and cannot wait to read more from this author.

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

OMG! That was awesome! I have a smile on my face, my panties are damp and I feel well sated. Ronnie is beyond sexy smart, Jackson is sexy hot, making them a great sexy team. I laughed, cried, laughed some more and could not get enough of this story. I only hope that Ronnie's BFF Shayna, gets her HEA soon.

***ARC received from author in exchange for honest review.

3.75 to 4 stars.

I'm a little all over the place on this one. Jackson and Ronnie had insta-lust and chemistry to spare. For some it may be way over the top lust/chemistry because they're like bunnies at times. The sex is explicit so if that makes you uncomfortable then take a step away from the Kindle/iPad/ereader.

Jackson, the H, is a dog, a pig, any other animal name you can think of to describe a man whore. That said he does has some redeeming qualities - passion, humor, quiet sensitivity, compassion - that are not as in your face. I wouldn't quite say we get to his hidden depths but he is quite the charmer in his own over-the-top way.

Ronnie, the h, seems like a goody-two-shoes but when she's with Jackson in private or public, all bets are off (and clothes too). One paragraph she'd be focused on her career and steering away from Jackson because he wasn't good for her career, the next she'd be focused on banging Jackson anywhere and everywhere.

There is definite sexual chemistry between the 2 MCs. There were instances and glimpses of emotional chemistry but that was slower to develop and less detailed. IMHO there was more emotional growth in Jackson than Ronnie but it wasn't a strong focus of the book either. I would have rated the book a strong 4 stars if the emotional chemistry/growth matched the physical chemistry/lust.

I am a huge fan of Kelley Harvey's writings. It started with her signature "Bad Boy Next Door" series, and from there I make it a habit to read anything she writes. Especially with hunky men on the covers!

Love'em was an instant must read. As Valentine's Day approached, I did my best to stay away from traditional romance novels. You know the warm and fuzzy type that has you crying with a box of chocolates and Kleenex. Love’em was a romance novel, but gave me more smiles than puffy eyes.

I love how Ronnie’s character was developed. She was smart and sexy, not overpowering but a total vixen in her own right. Of course, you cannot have a Harvey book without a hot male to capture your heart and undies! Meet Jackson Tremaine. Yes, Jack the smug, arrogant, bachelor who tries his hand at Love'em only to be caught off guard...Ok no spoilers.

What really captivates me about this book was the humor. I am hopeless when it comes to a story that makes me laugh out-loud uncontrollably. There were several instances where tears rolled down my face. Yes, it was THAT funny. Not only was the humor impeccable but I cannot forget the steamy scenes. They were hot. Very hot. Not in a dirty, erotica way but just enough where I had to keep a tall glass of ice water nearby.

Overall, my Valentine’s Day weekend ended on a positive note because of this book. Give it a read and see why you cannot help but Love’em!

This is the first time for reading anything by Kelley Harvey and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this great romance story. The characters are sweet ,lovable, and totally brings this story line together. This is Ronnie and Jackson's story,Ronnie Fitz has written a book that teachers women just how to catch the man of their dreams . But her best friend Shayna believes that all men are cheats and says she can prove that. She's going to test some men and see just how far they will go. Then there's Jackson who just happens to be the host of a late night television show, where Ronnie and Shayna appears on the show, that when a silly bet is made that could break or rude their careers. Will Ronnie's technique that she writes about in her book be able to help her fine her dream man, and will she be able to keep him? Will their forget the bet after her and Jackson spends a hot and steamy night together. This story will grab a hold of you and keep you in it's pages from start to finish. Ms Harvey has given us scorching hot romance that will keep you turning the pages . I could go on and tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this story, you won't be disappointed.

Love 'em

I received this book as an ARC for a review. I am drawn in from the beginning. It is Hot! Hot! Hot!

Jackson decides to put Shay and Ronnie's theory to the test. Shay theory is all men cheat, and she sets out to prove it when hired to lure men away. Ronnie says if you follow her theory you will bag your man, and he will never stray.

I Love her Gee Gee. Dickey the bird... There are no words to describe this bird. Bull the dog. Defective condoms. Wardrobe malfunctions. All combine to make this a funny read.

Jackson is determined to show Ronnie not every man fits into the mold she has cast in her book. Now I must say I'm not real sure I like Jackson at first. I am feeling bad for Ronnie. She feels like she is misleading Dave the guy they picked for her bet. She is. All the while she is using her theory on Jackson... I felt like they didn't even realize they were falling in love.

Jackson does start to grow on you, especially the harder he tries will Ronnie. Then the shocker... I won't say it, but I wanted to throw my kindle again against the wall!

But in the end love rules, so of course you get your HEA. I felt this book was very good!

Love 'Em like all of Kelley Harvey's books was full of hot steamy goodness. This book also had so many moments of hilarity I will never be able to look at BOBs the same again! Or African Grey parrots for that matter. Dickey Bird had me rolling a few times. The story itself is hard to put down. I didn't want to leave it for a minute to reenter real life. Jackson is a confirmed bachelor and revels in it. He doesn't see an end it sight for his hedonistic ways. So when Ronnie writes a self help book telling ladies how to land their man he has to have her on his show and give her a bit of hell. What he doesn't expect is to want to give her a bit more. Ronnie is a fantastic female character. She is head strong, independent and she goes for her goals.

The book will hold a reader to the pages to find out what happens next whether it is with Ronnie and Jackson, Dickey Bird, Bull Jackson's dog, or Shayna. If the reader doesn't go up in flames with Ronnie and Jackson they will be rolling laughing. This was a great book and a thoroughly enoyable one. I highly recommend it.

Sexy bad bachelor, a woman whose trying her hardest at what she loves and a bet that just might tear them apart.
Ronnie is your everyday average woman just looking to make it in the world. She written her self help book and hopes to make a bundle. Now all she has to do is make it work on a tv show with the outrageously handsome Jackson.... How will she even get through the show without becoming a pile of goo?
Jackson is one of the most eligible bachelors of Hollywood. Whatever he wants he gets its. And by the rags he leaves a trail of broken hearts where ever he goes. So when he corners the little writer with a bet on live tv. He decides to raise the stakes a little and mess with her and her best friend whose job is to get the bet broken. To show them they can't go by a book or her friends skills. But what happens when it seems to be backfiring on him and he dare say he might be in love... Oh my.

What a great read! Kelley Harvey really heats up the pages in this book.
Ronnie Fitz has written a book that teaches women to catch and keep the man of her dreams. Her best friend Shayna has a slightly different view on things. In her eyes men cheat and she can prove it. It's her job to test these guys and see just how far they'll go. Jackson Tremaine is the incredibly hot host of a late night television show. When Ronnie and Shay appear on his show a bet is made that could easily make or break their careers. Can Ronnie use the techniques in her book to find and keep the man of her dreams? Or will all bets be off she and Jackson spend an incredibly hot night together? I absolutely loved this book. The scorching hot scenes between Ronnie and Jackson kept me turning the pages until the very end.

What a hot and sexy read Kelley Harvey has given us!! There is no part of this book that doesn't contain witty banter, sex, or sexual innuendo. Jackson Tremaine is a late night television host who almost prides himself on being as out there as he can. Ronnie Fitz is a sweet girl who has written a book on how to get the man that seems out of reach. When her best friend, Shayna, is booked on Jackson's show, she gets Ronnie brought along for the ride. These two are dubbed Love 'Em and Leave 'Em by Jackson. During the show, a bet gets made between them all that could break the careers of both girls. Jackson develops an attraction to Ronnie and they share many hot and heavy moments during a dinner. But what happens when one night of passion turns into more? What happens to the bet? Or is the biggest bet yet to come?

Ronnie and Jackson are a couple forged in lust! ! But Ronnie 's book is all about how to keep a man through love and mutual respect, oops. So how did she end up in bed with the hound dog of late night television ? That's just what she asks herself, multiple times and in hilarious ways in Kelley Harvey 's newest, funniest bad boy of a book: Love 'em !! As much as Jackson Tremaine tells himself he wants Ronnie for her body, he can't seem to stop thinking about her, or the bet he tricked her into on his show, in front of millions of viewers. If you've never read a Kelley Harvey book, you are in for a massive treat of hot sex, hilarious innuendos and meeting some excellent side characters. 5☆'s the whole way through, can't wait for the second half of this duo Leave ' em.

Love 'Em is a quick, HOT read that is definitely worth your time!

Jackson Termaine is a late night TV talk show host who is a self-proclaimed ladies man. Ronnie Fitz is the author of a self-help book to help women catch and keep the men of their dreams. Ronnie goes on Jackson's show with her best friend Shayna- a "temptress" that women hire to test the men in their lives. Jackson challenges Ronnie and Shayna to a bet to see if Ronnie's techniques work well enough to keep a man from giving into the temptation that is Shayna.

Kelley Harvey knows how to write a hot book with some humor added in. Love 'Em is definitely a book to read!

Ronnie Fitz just wrote a book for women on how to get their man and goes on a talk show to promote it. Jackson Tremaine is the host of the show and confirmed bachelor. He thinks the book is a joke so he decides to bet that Ronnie can't make her book work for her. What he doesn't expect is the sparks between them and that maybe she is what he has been missing in his life. What starts as fun turns serious and the bet looks like a bad idea. I loved this story and the added comic relief of a dirty talking bird and a stinky big dog make it a great read! i was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book for an honest exchange.

Love 'Em is my first read by author Kelley Harvey and I can definitely say it won't be my last. Ms. Harvey has written a story that grabs you at the cover and doesn't let you go until the very last page and even then you are left with wanting more! The main characters have a chemistry that leaps off the page. You can feel the sexual tension between them and you can't wait to see if anything will come of it. If you are looking for a book that is good, has humor, scorching sex scenes, a whole lot of naughty thrown in and will make your tows curl... this is the book for you.

Both Jackson and Ronnie were strong characters who didn't take crap from anyone much less each other. They gave as good as they got and their lack of filter was funny sometimes and smoking hot others. I do feel they fell together a little too easily. I'm still not sure if Jackson's interest in the beginning was genuine or if it had to do with the bet on the show. Either way, he quickly grew to care for Ronnie as more than just a bed partner despite his intentions to keep it casual. (Man do I love it when the playful bad boy falls!) The supporting characters (and animals) are highly entertaining and make this a great read. Highly recommended!!

This is the first book that I have read by this author. I took a chance and signed up for an ARC of Love ‘Em the book blurb got me, when I started the first pages of the book I was hooked. The story line was unique and intrigued me to see where this story would go. I was not let down by the story line or the writing. I found myself to be charmed and also blush with the chemistry between the characters. I love Bull and Dickey as well. I am so glad that I took a chance on an author that was new to me. It’s a one-click to me.

Jackson and Ronnie are by far two of my favorite characters so far. I can not wait to see what Shay's story will be. Once again, we have another hot and steamy book from Kelley Harvey. She wasn't kidding when she said this one was going to be steamy. Its also quite comical too.

Jackson embarrasses Ronnie on live television and could destroy her career over it. She is fuming with him. It all backfires on him in the end because he is overrode with jealousy watching her on these dates. Serves him right.

I definitely recommend this book. You will get a piece of everything though its mostly steamy, burn up the sheets hot....just how I like em. Bring on book 2 Kelley!

Wow! I loved this! Jackson, the cocky celebrity and Ronnie, the struggling author, are screaming HOT! They had this spark from the beginning and it was a fun ride while he tries to get closer while she isn't sure how she feels. The combination of heat and humor from the different characters makes this a must read! I am so excited for the next book also!

What a friction fantastic read!!!! an so, so hot. My gosh, some of those scenes were epic. They certainly got the heart rate elevated. This books ticks all the boxes. It had humour, wit, the hero that cannot be caught, the heroine who has all the arsenal to catch her man, and the absolutely awesome, kickass best friend we all wish we had (and secretly wish we could be). I highly recommend this book. Brilliant work, Kelley.

Amazing read! I have read many of Kelley's books. I loved every one of them, but I think this is my new favorite. Jackson gets you from the minute he enters the book. His charm, his looks. You can't help but love him from the first minute. Ronnie, also awesome. Her and Shay together are hysterical. Hot scenes and one amazing HEA. You will not want to put this book down!
