A good friend of mine recommended me this book when I told him that I wanted to expand my brand. Twisting can be related to discomfort and pain (maybe I'm just too negative with my several injuries...), however, in a business situation discomfort usually leads to great results. Change is painful, however, it is needed to stay on top of it. Julie describes the TWISTS which make your brand stand out, how you can make use of untouched potential to ensure loyal customers and an increasing brand awareness.
She uses easy to grasp examples from Virgin Atlantic and former customers, which make it very approachable.
I would definitely recommend this book.

Julie has unique insights into the world of branding, especially having been VP of Brand for Virgin, a company that attributes a significant amount of its success to its brand.
The book thoroughly explores the idea of what a Twist is in branding, a combination of finding what is unique about your brand on a high-level and being able to apply it in tangible ways, allowing your brand to manifest in smaller interactions that your customers can engage with and fall in love with.
If the word "brand" matters to you in anything you do, this is a great read. If you couldn't care less about branding you should read it as well and find out why you should.

The main problem I had with the book is that the Kindle version was really bad.
It was scanned pages that didn't allow searching/selecting/scaling (properly). So it was quite difficult to read, which was a shame because the content of the book is very good.
It's how to keep your brand on point, what makes you different and how to get that message across, and who to target.

This is an excellent, accessible book that gives great perspective on defining & executing your brand. I love that it doesn't get caught up in meaningless jargon like many business books do. It is an engaging, enjoyable read, but also provides concrete steps you can take with your business. Highly recommend to anyone starting a business or reevaluating their message.
