A lot of fun to read.

James and Skip are life long friends, they desperately want to make it big, preferably without too much work. James is the idea man, Skip somehow gets sucked in. Some of these schemes almost get them killed. Em is Skip's love, always has been, beautiful, rich and his, except when she feels the need for an occasional break. The misadventures of these three make for a fun read. I hope there's at least one more book to find out if maturity overtakes them, do they get rich, do Em and Skip get married?

It is really cool, that the author put all these books in a bundle. All are 5 stars on their own for the adventure and humor. The basic premise in each book is the same. Skip Moore and James Lessor are best friends since forever. Both of them barely graduated college, Skip in Business and James in Culinary Arts. Both want to get rich and James has no end of ideas how to do it. Problem is, he schemes are usually life threatening and he always pulls Skip in with him. Lucky for both of them, Skip has a girlfriend, Em, who is not only rich and beautiful, but very smart. She pulls them out of mess after mess. The fun is seeing how they solve all of the crimes that seem to find them.

Great books

Mr Burns weaves a great story.
This collection of five stories follows the adventures of James, Skip and Skip's on and off girlfriend Em.
This unlikely duo find themselves in one murder after another. Not by their choosing.
Follow them through these crimes as they get better at solving each case and along the way become better investigators.
Take a bit of time to read this collection and well worth it.

An enjoyable series

In glad I got the entire series, as just one book wouldn't have been enough. The characters are well developed and stay true to their character. Telling theses stories from Skip's perspective was smart. The stories are well written, fully detailed, and fun to read.

Fun

Fun read with familiar characters in unfamiliar settings. The humor and pacing kept me in for the ride, and I'm glad.
