Every generation there comes a an evangelistic resource which sparks that generation into a outreach frenzy. Christianity Explored: What’s the best news you’ve ever heard? Is that resource. Not since the master plan of evangelism by Robert Coleman was released in 1986 has there been such a spectacular resource to evangelize the lost without using outdated slogans or Christianize jargon which ultimately turn a non-Christian off.
Christianity Explored is a multimedia presentation which can be used on an individual basis or for an entire church outreach program. Produced in partnership with The Good Book Company, Christianity Explored Ministries has been in existence for some time producing books and resources which are top notch for the purpose of evangelism. This program itself is the out working of some of the brightest minds and evangelicalism today. To begin this program one only needs to purchase the leaders kit. In the leaders kit there is a DVD with the sessions and video trailers as well as the leader’s handbook, a handbook for guess, a quick start guide as well as a code to download the videos on the DVD.
There are seven sections which detail different yet interconnected foundational Christian principles. Wally goes without saying that having an inspirational person lead such a presentation is a benefit one does not need a inspirational person to lead it. The leader’s handbook is a very thorough and thick guide to presenting this multimedia presentation to non-believers in a way that is simple yet thought-provoking to hear. As a minister of the Gospel I feel quite confident and having my leaders lead this Evangelistic program despite some of their lack of experience. That is how great yet simple this program truly is.
One caveat is that the videos have an Englishman, Rico Tice, speaking, whom I respect immensely. While his accent is not thick for understanding, it is important to note for American audiences, not to be thrown by some British slang which Americans might not be accustomed to, for which there is very little. Regardless of this small caveat, I cannot highly recommend this program enough. I plan on using this program for the foreseeable future hoping that every non-Christian I need will be able to be witness to using these programmatic scriptural truths so that they will know Jesus and then make Him know.

Like the Gospel, "Christianity Explored" is simple, straightforward , and powerful. This book is an excellent resource that one could use to introduce the basics of the gospel to unbelievers. Think of this book as a long-form tract. Rico Tice and Barry Cooper have presented the gospel in a straightforward and coherent fashion. An unbeliever who reads this may be offended by the gospel of Jesus Christ, but Time and Cooper present no reason for offense. I can highly commend this book for use in one's personal evangelism. Happy reading!

I’ve read a few books of a similar vein such as ‘Why Jesus?’ and ‘Mere Christianity’…I think this is a very accessible, engaging, quick read.

There’s lots of relatively recent references to films and occasional personal anecdotes that keep the reader engaged.

As an introduction to Jesus, The resurrection, The Bible, Christianity and some basic logic/evidence regarding all these, I 100% recommend it. (For more detailed books have a look at Lee Strobel’s books though)

Overall, a very concise, focused, but still enjoyable introduction to the basics of Christianity.

There are a couple of things I took issue with. One was the description of our relationship with God as "intimate" and like a father-son relationship. This is a common misunderstanding (our relationship with God is less father-son, more king-servant), which comes about by taking the New Testament out of its first century AD Mediterranean context and putting it in a modern context. See this website for more detail.

A thinking non-Christian reading this would no doubt question why what the Bible says (and specifically Mark's Gospel) is taken as factually accurate i.e. what makes the New Testament historically reliable? This question is unfortunately left unanswered. (For anybody curious, the reliability of the NT documents is discussed in incredible depth here.)

These issues may perhaps have been avoided in order to keep the focus of the book primarily on the core message of Christianity, which although understandable will leave some readers unsatisfied.

For somebody wanting a short, easy, no-frills read on the core subject of "What is Christianity?", this book is highly recommended. For anybody looking to more seriously examine the Christian faith, this book would serve as a very good starting point, although, by itself, be unlikely to prove sufficient.

Christianity Explored is a concise, plain-English overview of what Christianity is using the gospel of Mark. Of particular interest were Rico's explanations of the differing reactions to who Jesus is. This is the question we all face: Is Jesus a liar, a lunatic, or Lord over everything -- including your life?

Great overview of the message proclaimed in the gospel of Mark and the revelation of who Jesus is. Rico Tice's outline of what Jesus came to Earth for and why one can have certainty through faith in Jesus' resurrection are straight to the point. With its humorous style Christianity Explored is a quick entertaining, insightful and helpful read.

Rico Tice is one of the most engaging speakers I have ever heard. Although he is not quite so engaging a writer, his informal, talkative style should be able to win over anyone to is friendliness, if not to what he is proposing. The book is a series of studies through Mark's gospel, aimed at the non-believer.

Essentially a slightly expanded book version of the CE video course. An excellent introduction to Christianity that would make a great gift for someone interested in exploring the gospel, whether they've attended the course or not.

It was most entertaining seeing other people's reactions when they saw the title of this book. They made these faces like they'd just eaten something unpleasant but thought I might be the cook.
