It’s amazing how much negative thinking we can have in our life without even realizing it. I consider myself a pretty positive person, however there are events in my life and things that have happened that can turn on that negative stinkin thinkin.

The author goes in depth with his teachings and stories relating to removing those labels that hold you back. Even from the very first chapter his words hit home with me in so many ways. I recognized words and thoughts that I did not realize I was

I was in terrible need of something inspiring to read. Not even the Cubs winning the World Series after 108 years could pull me from this weird slump I've been in lately. To top it off, we've been having amazing weather the last few weeks here in the greater Chicagoland area... yet, here I was. Stuck and in an irreversible circle of blah.

So, I decided to take a stab at reading something positive. Joel Osteen's Think Better, Live Better: Deleting Negative Thoughts, Labels, and Attitudes reared

Think Better, Live Better: Victorious Living Starts in Your Mind. Joel Osteen delivers an uplifting and inspiring message, with powerful words to empower and motivate.

Change the way you think, in order to see the positive changes in your life. Reprogram.

As always, Osteen focuses on the positive, and reiterates a message for the downtrodden. A way to pick yourself up. A way out of your struggles. Whether it be your environment, health, financial, family dysfunction, or any part of your life.

I have listened to his radio program, seem his television show and read his books. His message is positive and always shown, talked, or written about in a way that seems to speak directly to whatever may be going on in my life at the time. It is a down to earth approach to positive affirmation and given with the word of God. Joel Osteen has made this message something people from all walks of life can relate to and even if you don't want to call the higher power you relate to God you can find ...more

Your mind has incredible power over your success or failure. This book offers a simple yet life-changing strategy for deleting the thoughts that keep you down and reprogramming your mind with positive thinking to reach a new level of victory. Joel Osteen uses truths from the Bible to illustrate how God wants us to live a victorious life.
I found this book intriguing and was grateful to have the ability to read it. I found its message simple, yet profound. We all feel things about ourselves, but

Like most Joel O'Steen books, Think Better, Live Better is packed full of encouragement. He gives some great analogies to help you relate to the situations. He encourages you to delete the bad memories and the bad thoughts that keep scrolling through your head. You have control of your thoughts. Guard your mind.
One of the points he made is hurting people end up hurting other people.
One thing that really hit home for me was when he talked about worrying is the same principle as meditating;

I listened to the audiobook version of this book because it was short and it sounded like a good book. But it was SO repetitive. I didn't think this would be so much of a self-help book. I expected this to be a book about thinking more about your faith and how it will help you live better. Instead, this book was filled with cliche and cheesy phrases and examples. It was all about the power of positive thinking. I'm sure this book would be good for some people and they could really get a lot of ...more

Since I first starting reading this book, I trained my mind to rethink negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Of course, its continuous training but its working for me. I encourage anyone who has too many negative thoughts to check it out. Its a very easy yet powerful read.

“You were programmed to live an abundant, victorious, faith-filled life,” Osteen writes. “That's how your Creator designed you” (2) But we have allowed our thinking to be faulty. We have not guarded our minds like Scripture tells us. We need to clear out all the negative thinking and not let it take root. We are to meditate on what God says about us, getting rid of negative labels and believing God's labels.

Osteen has written a very encouraging book to help us do all that. He reminds us that our

Joel Osteen's books are inspiring on a simple level. He reminds us that we have the power to change our lives for the better. In Think Better, Live Better, Joel Osteen encourages us to ignore negative thoughts from others and from ourselves. Nothing worthwhile will be handed to you. Work for it. Be your own best friend. Open your minds to God and live a fulfilled life. All of Osteen's books are similar in thought because his positive message is constant.

This is the latest book by Joel Osteen. For those who don't know him, he is the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. He took over in 1999 when his father died. In 2003, the church moved into the former Compaq Center, where the Houston Rockets of the NBA used to play basketball. His sermons are broadcast every week on various cable channels.

This book, like his others, is a collection of his sermons. This concept by itself is not new. Priests and ministers of all religions have been

Think Better, Live Better is a classic Joel Osteen book. His books have a way to leave a lasting imprint on your heart. This book will help you to realize how you think determines how you live. Tune out the negativity, doubt, and all the internal voices that say you can't and tune in to your calling. Your calling that God has planned for you. Once you close out all the negativity you can begin to live the life God has always planned for you. You will be abundantly blessed. Something that will ...more

My favorite quotes from Joel Osteen's "Think Better Live Better" (these are just a few):

-You were programmed to live an abundant, victorious, faith-filled life.

-Delete all negative and discouraging thoughts.
-Negative thinking is not normal.
-Think on things that are wholesome, pure, and of good report.

-I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I have the favor of God. Whatever I touch prospers and succeeds.
-Don't ever let what someone said or what someone did keep [me] from knowing who [I] really

Think Better, Live Better: Victorious Living Starts in Your Mind by Joel Osteen is a motivational book about changing your thoughts and chasing your dreams. If you like the style of Osteen’s sermons, you’ll like this book. In fact, while reading the book, it’s very easy to imagine Osteen’s voice and inflection saying the words, as if he were giving a sermon.

The book is light, quick reading. It’s the kind of book you might like to read when you’re feeling down and need some encouragement.

If I could describe Joel Osteen with just 2 words, they would have to be "simplistic theology." I say this because he presents the "Message" in a very simplistic and easy to understand way, that just about anyone can understand. In my opinion, this book is a restatement of his message, but it's packaged for the Millennial generation. That's not to say that I wasn't able to relate, but I could see who the target

I love to listen to Joel Osteen narrate his own audiobooks.

A few new ideas, but mostly the same ones creatively rearranged.

Not too sure about the “pregnancy” metaphors.

He is still very inspirational and uplifting.

So much of what Joel discusses is truth. Never take off your crown because you are a child of god. Don't let naysayers get you down, don't believe their labels, as your destiny was arranged by god.
Know your worth and your value and when someone says you can't you can say I know I can because everything I need is within me already.
Life throws some hardships but they are meant for growth to add to our faith not take away. They are meant to keep us moving forward and aiming higher.

Reading Think Better, Live better has helped me become one with myself and find ways to get out of the little box I was in. This book has challenged me to hit my “delete button” and to treat the infection my “software” has. I was able to find ways to help me stay positive and on stay the right track. Think Better, Live Better is written by Joel Osteen who is a minister in Huston Texas. His father was a pastor and he soon followed up behind his father’s footsteps. He became a pastor having ...more

This was an excellent book! Despite the negative things I have heard about his preaching, I continue to find Joel's work to be biblical, scientific, inspirational and challenging. The more I read, the more I think that most people who have a problem with what he says, do so because he challenges their beliefs and their limited view of God. And since it is always easier to bash on someone else's opinion than to deeply examine the convictions of your own heart, most people choose that route.

This was the perfect audiobook to listen to at 1.5 speed while cleaning on a cold, dreary day in the Midwest.

Joel Osteen, in my opinion, is an excellent motivator. This book captured the essence of a message that in order to reap all God intends for us to have in this world, it’s important to focus on his promises, and rebuke a negative mindset.

His analogy of using computer viruses to illustrate negative thought processes was spot on. He equates using the “delete button” with overcoming

It’s inspiring. He has a way with using stories, scriptures, and analogies that I like.

Some concepts:

- You were born with a crown. You are royalty. Do not let anyone take off your crown. Tells a story of a woman who was princess than forgot who she was after being kidnapped and became poor and taken advantage of. Someone who loved her went to find her and when he did he reminded her who she was. We should help remind others who they are. That we are all worthy

- Stop looking for someone else to

God Bless You Brother Joel!! This Book is Just as Great a Blessing to Me as Others You Have Written...

As I read this book, the words written struck my heartstrings, letting me know God was speaking through them! I have walked through so many self-created storms where I thought I was out for the rest of the game, down for the entire count, sidelined for the rest of my life. But, after reading this book, I know that on January 1st, 2019, God placed His Crown of Honor back on my head! And this
