I loved it.
I just got interested in astrology and how the planets are affecting us. I basically didn’t knew anything before diving into this book, except the zodiac signs and a few of the meanings.
This book is amazing for total beginners. I think it gives you a good base to start with (or if you only want to understand your birth chart), without being too less or too much information at once.

Of course I printed out my birth chart and went along with the little exercises to interpret it. I‘m blown away how accurate it describes me as a person ... This got me even more interested in astrology!

This is truly the sort of book I was looking for in terms of Astrology! I think it definitely helped that I had read a few other books before I delved into this, but this book provided me with answers that others hadn't, and helped me piece together the information. Also, I really like Boland's writing style - it feels like an old friend is teaching me, and it's very approachable and easy-to-comprehend and modern! I actually adored this so much that I think I'll have to snag a copy for myself so I can keep it for reference. :)

I didn’t know a single thing about birth charts so this book explained very clearly the basics. I was happy to find that Yasmin explains this clearly but gives you the freedom to also look elsewhere and compare in order to find out what works best and complete the information given.

This was a such a great place for me to start learning about birth charts and astrology deeper than sun signs. She has simplified everything so well so that a beginner can easily understand the basic concepts. I appreciate that she mentions that learning about astrology is much deeper than a couple of books and appreciate how she has included a guide of more books to read to learn more.

I would give 3.5 for the fact that at the end I did get a little lost. I found it would have been easier if it was put in simpler terms in regards to the aspects and houses and planet rulers ect. This is great for beginners and shows you really how to understand elements of your astrological chart.

A fabulous book for beginners in Astrology.
It is book that needs to be reread a few times as it is packed full of information.

A few tiny moments of confusion but overall a really great and straightforward read about astrology and how to read astrological birth charts. It's notable that I've only read one other book solely focused on astrology (Claiming Your Power Through Astrology by Emily Klintworth), so that's what I'm comparing to. Klintworth had more atypical uses of astrology, but Boland's writing is FAR clearer. Overall this is a great resource for readers who want to learn more about how to interpret your (and others'!) birth chart(s).
