A rhyming romp begins with ten silly dogs, and when one stops to bark, nine are left to run in the park, until one very dirty dog is all alone, but not for long.
Ten Silly Dogs- The description for this book is, "Ten silly dogs are running in the park. When one dog stops to bark, nine silly dogs are left. Another dog is too small, which leaves eight to scale the wall. And so it goes, as one by one, silly dogs fall away from the pack, leaving just one very dirty dog all alone but not for long..." I rated this counting book five stars because I love dogs for one, and I also liked that they gave a reason for each one going away as it counted down from ten to one. I chose this book because of the dogs and because of the watercolor used to illustrate the book. This book is similar to another book i reviewed because it also helps kids learn subtraction rather than just adding. I think this book would be appropriate for ages 3-8.
A cute counting book featuring 10 naughty puppies running amok. My daughter loved watching the puppies run and play, and the story flowed smoothly as each dog became distracted. Simple art and rhymes make this a quick favorite.
