'His to Cherish' was my first book in this series and also my first book by this author and let me tell you - it definitely won’t be my last because this woman can really write, not only well developed stories, but also endearing, relatable characters. Stacey Lynn delivered an emotional tale that really held me at the edge of my seat. Equally heartbreaking and heartwarming, this third installment in the series moved me to tears and held my attention from start to finish. Chelsea and A

My God this book wrecked me. I was a hot mess starting with page one. His to Cherish, book 3 in the Fireside Series, picks up right where book 2 His to Protect left off. This story deals with loss and grief and made me cry so many times I had Rudolph nose. I don't want to give too much away but I do want to put a trigger warning in my review for those that want to know(view spoiler)

You know what's so wonderful about this book? It's the way I felt the raw emotions of the characters. The way the story weaved not just romance but also an element of family drama which I became emotionally involved with.

His to Cherish started when Chelsea Dwyer witnessed the death of Aidan Deveraux's son Derrick from a skateboarding accident. Since Aidan's loss, she has been there for him, comforting him and giving him her company with no expectations. Despite the fa

I was not prepared for the emotions that this book brought out of me. From the very first page the story was pulling at my heartstrings and I found myself tearing up on more than one occasion. It wasn't just what I was reading about, it was how powerful and raw the author portrayed these emotions through the characters.

For such a haunting story this was actually also very beautiful. I loved seeing Aidan and Chelsea together and leaning on one another. I wan

Grief is a powerful thing. This story is stocked full of emotion as two people try to wade through that thick emotional weight left behind by loss. Chelsea and Aidan have had a spark that they ignored, for the most part, as they went about their daily lives. United in tragedy, they allow the spark and the comfort of that warmth to support them and grow. Unfortunately, while in your own bubble, it's easy to ignore the things that need to be addressed. When a reality check waltzes into the picture ...more

“If I could take away that pain for you, I would.”

I think that this series is getting better and better with each book and i freakin' love it!!!
Both previous couples had many difficulties to overcome in order to be together and this one, in here, wasn't the exception...

After the ending of the second book, i was dying to read Aidan's story and to see how the things will ended up, but damn!!! I wasn't expecting the things to be soooo hard!!! Deep inside of me,

I have to say, when I started His to Cherish I thought I was broken. Because unlike many, I didn’t reach for the tissues, which I put down to two reasons:

1. I actually think I was numbed by the tragedy these characters faced and the pain they were suffering. It was almost like being in shock.
2. I have the worst eye infection in the world right now and my tear ducts are clearly defective.

At about 25% though, I realised the latter wasn't strictly true. Nor am I broken, because my one

I loved the first two books, but this one was not as great. It was more survivor's grief than romance. There was some romance and hot sex. It just was really sad and I teared up multiple times (not a good thing on a field trip with a bunch of middle school girls). Loved seeing all the Fireside gang.

Now curious minds want to know what the very hot bartender (but is that his real job) David did to piss Camden off. Guess we have to wait for the next book.

SHE COULD HEAR THE BOY SCREAMING through the opened window of her bedroom. In the street are two boys, one is crying out for help and the other is lying twisted in a pull of blood along side his skateboard. She works at the middle school and knows both these boys. She also has a secret crush on the father of the boy who is in desperate need of medical attention. Hours later as she sits in a blood soaked sweatshirt and the doctor emerges from the swinging doors inside the emergency room, she sens ...more

Heartbreaking, Healing, Hopeful, and a sweet Happily Ever After...

I am starting this review with a fair warning. This book is extremely emotional starting at page one. I don't know how many times I cried through this story. Deep and touching, it is genuine and so real.

The good news is, the further you get into the book you could see the healing begin. You could watch the potential feelings start to grow. And then you could see there was hope for the future.

This is the first book I have read

I really enjoyed His to Cherish, it was beautifully written and the storyline touched my heart.
From the first page I was hooked, I just couldn't stop reading. It certainly brought out all the feels.

I loved Chelsea and Aidan, they were likable and relatable characters that tugged at your heartstrings with their story.
Watching them connect and deal with Aidan's pain was both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

I must warn you – the prologue in this book had me gasping and hoping it wasn't what I thought it was. When I realized that it was, indeed what I thought it was, it had me bawling!

I could not imagine the pain Derrick was going through after experiencing such tremendous loss. His days are spent in a daze barely remembering what he's done because he's basically isolated himself. In his trying time, Chelsea, who is not only his neighbor but also his child's former teacher is there for him because s

This is the story of Chelsea and Aidan, two persons who have suffered loss.

The book started with an amazing prologue that brought tears to my eyes. The story was said by Chelsea’s POV, with exception of a couple of chapters that was said by Aidan’s POV in order to understand the story better, and Chelsea has a very strong voice. The plot was quite straight-forward without any

I thought this book was an interesting take on a romance novel, the idea that Chelsea and Aidan were brought together by the death of Aidan's son and that they both had to get past that, and other things in their lives that alter how they perceive the world, and move to an actual relationship. It worked because they were able to bond over the idea of the loss and so they were able to relate. But, this doesn't translate to a healthty relationship l

This bittersweet romance was beautifully written. I thought Stacey Lynn did an amazing job writing Aiden's story. A story about a single dad, struggling with the loss of his son, and finding love along the way. The author was able to convey so many emotions through her words, made his loss feel real.

I loved that she created such strong, relatable characters. Aiden couldn't have been more perfect. Everything about him was manly. A total mans, man. He was utterly handsome. But he was also rugged

Wow! Talk about getting sucker punched right in the beginning! I had not read the book blurb before reading. I just remember reading and loving book 2 and knew this one started out with Derrick, Aiden's son, having an accident so I had no idea what was about to happen. Talk about being gutted. Man, the feels this book brought on. Aiden and Chelsea's story was sad, emotional and beautiful. What a great job Stacey Lynn did writing about a love blooming out such a sad tragedy. The title should have been His to Take For Granted

Summary:
Aidan, the H in this story suffers the loss of his 14 year old son in the prologue of the book. Aidan, understandably, takes the death of his boy really hard. He looses himself in his grief, and not even his well meaning friends can get through to him. He sinks into a deep depression and begins to rely on drinking and avoidance to dull his pain.

Chelsea, the school librarian and the one who witnesses the ac

Man, this series just keeps getting better and better. First of all, this can 100% be read as a standalone. With that being said, the Fireside novels have all been really good so I encourage you to read them all.

Aidan has been a single father since he was eighteen years old and there was nothing more important in his life than his son, Derrick. When a tragic accident happens and Derrick loses his life, Aidan is left alone and devastated. People are there for him, so to speak, but they don't seem

When I read His to Protect the events at the end of the story set up this book so I knew, I knew that this would be a book I needed to read when my husband and kids weren't home. Chelsea Dwyer is the first to arrive at the scene of an accident involving students she works with at the local middle school. As time continues, Chelsea seems to be the only one who understands the grief of the boy’s father and the only one he turns to for support.

Aiden Deveraux devoted his entire life to caring for and raising his son. Now that he is going, Aiden doesn’t know how to move past the grief. Having Chelsea around seems to help, even though they weren’t incredibly close b

I have enjoyed the Fireside series, but this story, though among my favorite so far, hit hard. Having experienced the loss of a child, my son who was just a few years older than Derrick, Aiden's son, this story brought to the surface many neatly buried feeling that any parent, who has lost a child, tries to keep at bay. I found times when I needed to take a break from the heaviness of Aiden's grief; Ms Lynn's writing superbly brought to light the depth of his pain over his loss. As well, Shawn's ...more

Another broken, lonely man. And yep I loved him. Reeling from the loss of his son, Aiden withdraws from his friends, but feels a special connection to Chelsea, the school librarian.

Aiden needed someone to show him that life was worth living and Chelsea was that person. But Chelsea had her own insecurities to work through and Aiden eventually showed her that he was the one to help her through all her doubts.

Lots of ups and downs for this couple, but they came out stronger through it all.

4 stars... great writing, emotional plot.

I'm not sure I should have read this book. It was a lot. A lot of grief, loss, and just overall heavy emotion. This was hard for me to read, but even thought this isn't my normal cuppa, it was still great writing with a gripping plot. I deal with death on almost a daily basis (hospice social worker... hello!) and death normally doesn't bother me. But that's my job, and this is my free time escape. I think that was my problem with it. It was heavy and I tr

OMG get your box of tissues ready!

We finally get Aiden's story whom we met in the previous books in this stories. Book #2 leaves you begging for Aiden's story after the tragic loss of his son. This book will pull at your heart strings as a parent tries to overcome the death of his only child and how those around him deal with their loss while trying to figure out how to be there for their friend.

We met Aiden and Derrick in the previous Fireside books, Aiden is friends with Declan and the guys. Single father raising his son, running a construction business and doing a great job at both. Not much time for women. He meets Chelsea when he comes to register Derrick at school (2 years prior) and is interested, although keeps his distance because of her being the Librarian at the school Derrick attends. It's obvious they both feel some sort of spark when they're together with the group at the ...more
