Romancing the Ranger was a truly lighthearted romance. The kind of read that just hits the spot when you least expect it.
Reese decides to burn the evidence of her failed relationship taking out the park outhouse and putting her on Ranger Wade’s rador.
Ordered to rebuild the outhouse herself, Reese is court ordered to spend more time under Wade’s supervision.

I'm always on the look out for sweet and fluffy stories as sort of a palate cleanser. When I saw the premise of this one, it sounded right up my alley.
Honestly, I didn't care for Reese and Wade. They're not bad characters, but they fell flat for me. She's a people pleaser and he's still bitter over a fiancée who left him. I didn't see any of the attraction between them; it all felt so shallow. What really annoyed me was Wade's constant complaint about her lifestyle and money. They just didn't c ...more

4 Wade the Weenie Stars. OK, he wasn't entirely a weenie. Most of the time.... make it 1/2 the time.
Reese, the h has just broken up with her pain in the ass, pretentious boyfriend Brock. She takes a drive to a remote and scenic waterfall and rest stop that she knew when she was a young girl.
When she stops to burn her past- really burn it, the fire gets out of control. The H, Wade, a park ranger in rural Colorado, rushes over to put out the fire. Not before an out-building catches fire and burn ...more

4 “Small town sexy romance” STARS
ARC via Netgalley
Thank you, Entangled!!
Isn’t it simply amazing when you find a book and it’s exactly what you needed to read at that moment? That’s what happened with Romancing the Ranger.
I remember going through Netgalley’s list looking for a good romance book, preferably set in a small town and I found this new Entangled title. The cover was pretty and the blurb made it clear it was pretty close to what I wanted at that moment. I’m so happy the rest of the book ...more

City-bred girl with money meets a small-town ranger who's the opposite of all she is - and in this tale of opposites attract, both attempt to find middle-ground together when the mutual attraction gets too much to contain for a mere fling.
I wish I could say this had been an unforgettable read, but it wasn't one at all. There was too much focus on the superficial that I struggled to get past - wealth, prestige, looks and class - and there seemed little beyond those bits to plumb.

Jennie Marts has done it again! ROMANCING THE RANGER is a remarkable take on a big city meets small town romance and extremely relatable. Everyone has encountered heartbreak at some point and become skeptical if a similar person or situation approaches. If you haven't, consider yourself lucky and me jealous. And how many times have you allowed someone to use you as a doormat? Never? Are you sure you're real? What happens when the city girl who has been walked over several times finally has enoug

Wade is a special kind of man, “holy crap! You got a fish!” He scrambled on the floor of the boat for the fishing pole, grabbed it and reeled in the line. “Grab that net.” Seriously? She was half naked and sitting between his legs, and he wanted her to help him catch a fish?" Wade has some moves, might have been cheesy but he had moves, “I like your dress,” he’d said in a sexy slow drawl. “But I’d like it better on the floor.” I enjoyed this book Wade was sexy and Reese was a sweet girl.

Any book that boasts fish puns and sex innuendoes among its attributes is my kind of book. There are few things in this world that I find as amusing as a pun—good or bad—and as hot as a few well-placed double entendres. And Romancing the Ranger had me covered on those fronts.
But...it also had me covered on the swoony, sexy and sweet front, too. Seriously, this book was a complete package of fun—quick, fluffy and humorous, with just a hint of tension to make sure boredom didn't set it. Basically ...more

If you're looking for a quick read and fun novella that will leave a smile on your face, this is one that you've got to check out. Short and sweet that gets right to the point, this story contains all of the elements for a cute romance story with plenty of heat packed in too.

Romancing the Ranger is a syrupy sweet love story between a goody two shoes city girl and a gruff and growly park ranger.
When Reese Hudson decides to finally take charge of her life and start calling the shots, she finds herself accidently starting a teeny tiny fire that lands her in Willow Creek for two weeks to help repair damages alongside a smoking hot and permanently frowny faced park ranger, Wade Baker.

Romancing the Ranger hit the spot when I was looking for the humorous, witty and passionate read. Reese & Wade’s rocky relationship in this story is the path to the road to salvation. Reese is only in Wade’s life because she tried to burn something and it ended up catching on file outside so Wade who is a park ranger is ordered to be her supervisor while she completes the court ordered community service. He sooooo didn’t want her in his world yet Reese is wanting to make admends , and right now,

Loved it! Another great read by Jennie Marts. If you are looking for a short HEA, this is the book for you. Reese is young and has money. She is just unfortunate in her choice in boyfriends. She heads up the mountain to burn her keepsakes of a failed romance. Unfortunately, the outhouse caught on fire and the Warden, Wade, caught her. Wade isn't about to let her just throw money at the problem. He just didn't anticipate the judge making him help her and oversee the work. The chemistry & sparks b

I am trading in my former book boyfriend (Owen Bannister, Icing on the Date) for Wade Baker! Jennie's character's just keep getting better and better!! I never used to be this fickle, but Wade just stole my heart right away from Owen. From the beginning of the book with the accidental burning of an outhouse, right through to the end, Wade and Reese kept me loving their escapades and laughing out loud! There were tender moments as well, and some downright frustrating moments too, but all in all,

This is a fun, flirty romance that will make you smile. In it, Reese is a pampered city girl that runs into trouble in a rural park. That trouble is a park ranger, Wade, who has no time or interest in pampered city girls. What follows is a somewhat predictable attraction of opposites.
I gave this 5 stars because the author told the tale so well and made me care about the characters. This is a light read and will make for a very pleasant escape in front of a winter's fire or on a beach. If you ar ...more

Reese is done...done with placating her boyfriend, Brock, done with letting him dictate what she eats and wears, etc. But when he steps over the line, Reese bluntly tells him they're done. So what's a girl to do when she wants to symbolically get an ex out of their life? Well Reese, with her dog, Bagel, goes to a place that holds special meaning for her, Cotton Creek Falls, where her grandparents always took her. Unfortunately, her attempt at ridding herself of him goes wrong on a few levels, le

Romancing The Ranger by Jennie Marts is one of those books I picked up because the synopsis made me laugh. No, really, in this case, I giggled and thought, why not? It is a full-length novel, with an HEA and no cliffy. Also, it is told from an alternating third-person point of view.
Let me break this one down for you. Have you ever been so ticked at an ex that you just want them gone? You want to cut up photos, get rid of them somehow. In the case of our heroine, Reese, she decides to start a cam ...more

Really enjoyed this one.
Loved both Reese and Wade and their journey. I particularly loved Reese and the way she proved everyone, even herself, that she was more than what they thought.
Wade had been deceived by someone he loved in the past, so he was very hesitant to start something with a woman again, but I was glad he at least gave Reese the chance. She totally deserved it and kicked ass.

Jennie Marts is becoming a favorite author- I just adore the characters she creates. This book just makes you happy when you read it. It begins with Reece burning down an outhouse in a park as she tries to rid herself of momentos from her controlling jerk of an ex-boyfriend. And the book just gets better from there. The characters are so full of life, my favorite person was Wade's granny- what a spitfire.
