Lee Wilkinson was born in Nottingham, the only child of loving parents. She was educated at an all-girls' school, and after leaving, tried her hand at several jobs, including modeling swimwear.

At 22 she met and married her husband, Denis. They had a traditional white wedding and a honeymoon in Italy, and have been happily married ever since. They have two children, a son and a daughter—both now grown up and married—and four lovely grandchildren.

Lee's writing career began with short stories and serials for magazines and newspapers before going on to novels. She has had more than 20 Mills and Boon romance novels published to date.

Amongst her hobbies are reading, gardening, walking, and cooking. Traveling is her main love, and teaming up with her daughter and American son-in-law, she and her husband spent a year going round the world, taking in India, China, Australia, New Zealand, and the States.

Last year she rented a palazzo in the heart of Venice, followed by a quick hop aboard the Orient Express. Lee is currently saving up for a whirlwind tour of Japan, a romantic and exotic destination she has wanted to visit since childhood.

At present she lives with her husband in a 300-year-old stone cottage in a picturesque Derbyshire village, which gets cut off by snow most winters

This was an average secret baby story with the hero trying to force a reconciliation by threats of taking the child away from the mother and by ruining her financially - all in the name of love, of course. That's all well and good. Where this scenario lost a star was that the hero couldn't be arsed to give her an explanation about her father's business or her step mother at the time of her pregnancy, but now that he's told her four years later, the *heroine* had to do all the backtracking and apologizing. Just no. Even the hero kissing the stepmother at the hotel where they were celebrating their engagement and inviting that wretched woman to their wedding *without telling the heroine* was seen as something the heroine had to suck up and accept as part of her penance for having a secret baby.

I wasn't buying it. Hero was more solicitous of the OW than the heroine before and after their breakup.

Another story where the girl jumps to conclusions. True, she found her lover in a compromising situation, but if he is important then he's worth listening to. Of course then there would be no story..

I like the forced wedding trope and this author but having the h be the culprit all the way down weakens this as does the endless silence about the supposed OW. As others note H is so careful of OW he looks guilty as he can.

And H claims he hates, not loves h and backs that up by conspiring to kidnap their daughter. The kid was unrealistic, no 4 ear old will be that calm about mom and new daddy leaving.

He blackmails her into marrying him and he is ruthless in his blackmail.

A few years before they had a relationship. She believed that he had slept with her father’s wife. She was pregnant, she lied to him that she had a miscarriage. She ran away, she changed her last name and she now has a healthy daughter but the H doesn’t know that he has a child.

I always wonder in case of secret baby’s how a H can forgive such deceit, lies and losing out on the first years of his child so easily.

Bien romantico!!!

Este libro aunque corto es muy romantico!! El autor nos ensena como las personas ven cosas y sacan conclusiones incorrectas, que danan a otras personas inconcientemente!!!!Suerte que el amor es lo mas importante!!!!

Once engaged, Jessica ran away after finding Luke in the arms (naked) of her step-mother. Fast forward four years, he finds her, threatens her, deceives her, manipulates her, marries her...all in the name of love?

Una historia bastante lineal, que es para esos días que quieres leer algo cursi sin ir más allá.
