12 chapters of quotes related to gardening. Gratitude, Planning, Diligence, Attention, Silence, Optimism, Patience, Perseverance, Lifetime Learning, Time, Reverence, and Enjoying the Bounty. The two quotes that stood out for me were not exactly gardening, but could be.
He who fears he shall suffer
already suffers what he fears.
- Michel de Montaigne

Failure is the path of least persistence.

The man who has planted a garden feels that he has done something for the good of the whole world. -Charles Dudley Warner

A sweet collection of quotes that describe the joys and tribulations of being a gardener. The sayings are grouped by topics such as perseverance, patience and gratitude. The index lists the sayings by author and page number. This book is a good reference for writing and speaking. It is easily read, easy to stop and start. To really enjoy it, I believe it is better absorbed by rereading and reflecting in small doses. Reading it cover to cover becomes a little monotonous.
