I was assigned this book during one of my social work courses during my university days. This book is actually rather awesome when it comes to demonstrating various interviewing techniques and how to build rapport with clients. The information presented in this book is easily transferable to any job sector and is not strictly confined to the human service field. You can use the skills and techniques presented in this book to nearly any employment sector that deals with the public - customer service, retail, human resources, counseling, teaching, coaching, etc. Great book!
